Re: Who else loves the buses at WDW?
No, it doesn't! The worst part of my Jan 2012 trip at WDW was Disney transportation! A bus that should go to DAK decides to take a side trip to Blizzard Beach and adds on over 30 minutes to the trip by doing so. Then a monorail that refuses to leave the station at EPCOT trying to get more people on board as there is another monorail already parked on the loop behind it wanting to unload its passengers. The one thing I learned it would be better to drive my own car around instead as I could get to my destination quicker with far less aggravation!
And I know Len90 was complaining about his bus experience on Saturday from DHS to EPCOT, so it appears that things have changed much from Jan 2012 to June 2012...

I love the buses! It's really nice at the end of the night when you are super tired out after a long Disney day.
And it's also kind of cool to get to ride along through Disney and see all there is to see! One thing that kind of stinks is the wait to get onto buses sometimes though.

I agree... I am sorry to hear about mindflipper's bad experience. We don't mind to wait a little. It sure beats the traffice out late at night when tired.

The busses will never change. They forever suck!mindflipper wrote:No, it doesn't! The worst part of my Jan 2012 trip at WDW was Disney transportation! I really think they do a good job for as many people as they transport in a day. I have to drive many hundreds of miles every week for work so I am more than happy to sit back (or stand and hold on for dear life) and relax on the WDW busesSoarin08 wrote:The busses will never change. Once you drive yourself, you're spoiled forever.Amy wrote:I really think they do a good job for as many people as they transport in a day. I know the transportation system isn't perfect, but I sure as heck prefer it to having to figure things out on my own! haha It is frustrating when it isn't working great, but when it does - it is awesome and takes that much more stress off of me. Plus, there is just something about riding those buses! Especially the Magical Express on your way to your resort!

Plus I think they get to take some backstage shortcuts that avoid trafficBelle1082 wrote:I know the transportation system isn't perfect, but I sure as heck prefer it to having to figure things out on my own! haha It is frustrating when it isn't working great, but when it does - it is awesome and takes that much more stress off of me. I agree to some extent. We have had a couple of negative experiences with the bus...but it was driver attituded that seems to be our biggest issue...

i guess it also depends on where you are coming from/going to... the drivers with the regular POR route were ALL courtious and professional, and just a bit zany(a must i guess, driving laps in the crazy florida heat and mouseketraffic)

I have to admit I'm another one who loves the buses. Granted they're not always perfect but I love going somewhere and starting my day on them and then finishing off with the lights off and travelling round the world in the dark. Granted I'm nearly asleep by this point but I know I'll be back "home" soon!

Things are not always 100%. We drive down from N.H. Let the mouse do the driving. Tired of driving.
