So, BIGyowski, are you planning to do a picture a week, same shot? Love it! You gotta title it: Growing up with Mickey Mouse.

Re: Scary Thought
I know what you mean. Every time it's departure day and we're getting ready to head to the airport, I always have that rush of fear. What if I can't come back again? When will I come back again? How long will be it before I'm back? So far I've gone every year since 2006, but still every year, that old fear comes back again. Why do we do that? it's not like going to the moon. But then again, it's better!!

I cannot believe it will be 8 yrs this fall for meAmy wrote:I'm sure you will get back to WDW within a few years. And the time spent watching your DS grow and learn things will make the time fly by. As you said, the grandparents will be excited about a trip to WDW too so you and your DW will have a chance to go on some of the more thrilling attractions, or out for a romantical dinner at least once on your trip. If they don't want to go, swing by Michigan and pick me up on your next trip ~ I'm great with kids and would watch him for you![]()
It is sort of scary, or maybe depressing not having a trip planned. We hadn't gone for 10 years before our back to back holiday excursions these part two years. It might be 10 years again, but I hope not. Finances are certainly what are holding myself and my Mom back. She is retired and has many health concerns. I am self employed so while I can take vacation time, there isn't any income coming in while I am goneIf I lived closer, I would certainly be taking advantage of this spring break to visit WDW at least for a day ~ crowds and all
I totally agree with you on TGFSSR. Especially the forums where I can share and see what others are thinking

Oh it is so worth it! We just drove 15 hours with stops with our four kids ages 12, 9, 3, and 17 months and I would not have traded it for anything in the world!secondstar wrote:theBIGyowski wrote:We've all had it before...
Some families go every year (I've gone every year the past 4 years) and some go every other year. They have planned trips and it's something to look forward to.
But the scary thought is when you don't know when your next trip to WDW will be. Our DS is due to be born in the next few weeks...and that plus the economy will definitely keep us from making any trips down to WDW in the near future. We're hoping we can get down in 2013 once all of the Fantasyland updates are done, but aren't even sure we can do that since DS will only be 18+ months old, which we feel won't be old enough to be worth the 10+ hour drive and all the cost.

Re: Scary Thought
I heard a rumor about a new vacation club coming to the Polynesian Resort! But I also heard that they may tear down the Polynesian Resort and build a replica of the New Hawiian vacation club hotel in its place! Scary!
Re: Scary Thought
I think Grand Floridian is actually the next plan for DVC. Sadly, I don't think they'll ever put a DVC resort at the Poly, unless they tear down some of the old longhouses. There just isn't any space to build another longhouse.jiminycricket wrote:I heard a rumor about a new vacation club coming to the Polynesian Resort! Phewww! I thought I got it wrong when I saw "she"...I knew you had written DS before he was born and that is what I was going on, but sonograms are sometimes wrong I guesstheBIGyowski wrote:*HeJacca5660 wrote:I see she's holding her head up!! Sorry...we were low on clean outfits since he's too small to fit in most of his clothes. We thought the one he was in was a little feminine...but it had enough blue in it to satisfy us.

we were very blessed to be able to go to wdw 2 years in a row, 2010, 2011 now we are waiting,we needed to do some repair work on our house this year.It is scary thinking when are we going to go back,if we let all the things we could be doing with the money we spend on a trip crowd our thoughts,we might never make it back. Then my husband will say my daughter will NOT remember what we fixed up in the house when she's older but what we did with her. That thought makes me want to go back every year! Life is short, make memories while you can...right?!

Well, to a certain point. You do have to face the reality of living every day though. You can't have your house falling into disrepair because you are busy making memories all the time. But there certainly should be a balance of work and funbrerrabbit1 wrote:we were very blessed to be able to go to wdw 2 years in a row, 2010, 2011 now we are waiting,we needed to do some repair work on our house this year.It is scary thinking when are we going to go back,if we let all the things we could be doing with the money we spend on a trip crowd our thoughts,we might never make it back. Then my husband will say my daughter will NOT remember what we fixed up in the house when she's older but what we did with her. I genuinely don't know when the next time I'll go to Disney is. I know I'll definitely go again, tons more times in my life, but right now is when I need an escape from my daily life the most, and it's nearly impossible for me to get there! I really miss WDW

Oh yeah, I'm not going to let my house fall to the ground,I'm the practical one in the family! I hope that post didn't sound like I don't care about anything but going to wdw. You're exactly right, there should be a balance!! I tend to fall to the more practical side of things sometimes and my husband balances that out! He tells me when I'm being too practical and not fun enough!! (I do know how to have fun though!!)Amy wrote:Well, to a certain point. You do have to face the reality of living every day though.
