Hmmmm, I won't say the change for the figure is worse but I won't say it's better. The rapid movement of the head kind of makes it look more like a chunk than before.

I would say Ariel's hair looks much better. Not great, but much better than the twirly soft-serve cone hair she had!
I see they are inviting more people to be members of Club 33. If only I had written my letter all those years back, I might be getting my invitation now! Who can afford $10k a year for membership dues?! That's insane

Don't forget the 25k initiation fee as well, which I swore (from another update) was not the fee for regular membership but for corporate.
I'm really surprised that they have had no new members in 10 years, I would have thought some would have either left for fiscal reasons or simply died off and were unable to will the membership.

I too am surprised by the lack of new members in the past 10 years. Unless they are exaggerating that a bit in order to drum up a little more interest. Oh, I didn't forget the $25k, I just thought that was the lesser of two evils when you look at the $10k being a yearly fee! I can't afford either so it really doesn't matterWizzard419 wrote:Don't forget the 25k initiation fee as well, which I swore (from another update) was not the fee for regular membership but for corporate.

I figured the sudden spike was to help flush out of the list a bit and get rid of some members for new blood. I'm sure they are making money but I am also sure they are leaving a ton on the table since they have a wait list that is probably longer than the membership roster.

Re: DCA Gets A Worthy Overhaul Budget
That makes sense. They can't get the initiation fee from the current members. I wonder if they are adding to the roster a bit too since they will have the new club. A little more room to spread the wealth out...Wizzard419 wrote:I figured the sudden spike was to help flush out of the list a bit and get rid of some members for new blood. I'm curious as to if anyone will give a dam n about the club at DCA since it offers views of nothing.

What kind of view do you get at the original Club 33? I thought it was tucked away in a side street behind the Blue Bayou.Wizzard419 wrote:I'm curious as to if anyone will give a dam n about the club at DCA since it offers views of nothing.

I'm trying to remember if they still host fantasmic viewing from the Balcony. Within the place there wasn't a view but they did offer (or used to) better views of night shows. One perk, I suppose, is that you can get day drunk with a better selection inside the park.

If only they didn't take out the Disney Gallery up above Pirates since people kept saying it was perfect viewing for Fantasmic.

I never fully understood the dream suite since it was used for a year or two (even though the promotion was only for a year) and now only on special occasions. I'm sure if you are willing to pay, you can stay in it as well, though it is probably akin to getting the special boat for watching illuminations.

Re: DCA Gets A Worthy Overhaul Budget
I'm sure it costs a whole heck of a lot more than renting a boat for Illuminations! I think it is mostly used for celebrities down. They might use it for Make a Wish trips too, but I've never seen that mentioned outright anywhere...Wizzard419 wrote:I never fully understood the dream suite since it was used for a year or two (even though the promotion was only for a year) and now only on special occasions. Probably, but what I meant was "You have to order off the menu to get it" rather than the price.

Wait. You rent a boat to watch Illuminations? How does that happen? I was perfectly fine watching it from the Germany pavilion!Wizzard419 wrote:I never fully understood the dream suite since it was used for a year or two (even though the promotion was only for a year) and now only on special occasions.
