You can, but you have to have more planning, there are so few opportunities that just come up on the fly now.

Since Little Mermaid was a big part of the DCA overhaul, figured I'd post this here.
Little Mermaid ride adjustments:

We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

Will they fix the part where they left out the conflict and resolution too?
The hair was poor but that made it fugly was all the hype they had noting how advanced it was. Plus the skin of the ursula figure got a hole in it during previews, which was fixed but still not that great considering how fast it wore out.

At least they don't have to close the attraction down a long time to make the changes. Has it been open just a year, or two already?

Less than a year, since it opened the same weekend/day as star tours. They could burn it down and it too would be an improvement.

Seems a shame since the building facade is so beautiful. It seems like they could have taken a little more time and made the inside match the outside...

Pretty much, even the queue is kind of a joke. They build this massive area for people to line up and pretty much the only time it was ever used was opening weekend, after that it was walk on.

It will be interesting to see if the folks at WDW have the same response to the ride (redone) as the folks in DCA. Although it's a walk on at DCA, I wonder if it might be more popular in WDW. After all, I hear that TSM is medium popular at DCA but, as we know, it's a blockbuster at DHS (for reasons that remain completely mysterious to me

).

I'm not sure I would say it's medium popular here... it usually can pull a 40 minute wait on a slow day during the off season.

That ain't nothin' compared to the 80-90 min. wait regularly at DHS, plus all FPs for it are usually gone by midday.

Yeah, the low loading speed (the capacity isn't half bad) of the ride is where the problem seems to lie, since the cars generally are at a dead stop for most of the ride.
Oh I forgot to mention, they finally fixed the hall of promise and chamber of destiny. The selection area's effect now works, the doors now open and close, and the future vision in the observatory has been replaced by an animation.
The boulder room is still gimped though.
I am surprised BB is closing since it just re-opened after the pirates overhaul. Though, they are probably doing their last chance for prep on most of the things prior to summer when they must operate fully.
