Mousefest is a gathering of Disney fans from the various internet based sites such as All Ears, Mousesavers, MousePlanet, among others. You can learn more about it here: http://www.mousefest.org/ It's interesting.

Bostoncq: Now you are brave! Driving across country by yourself with Ms. or Mr. Kitty. I would never be able to do that. Although, I don't think I could ever live in CA. I'm just too much of a New Yorker. Must admit that Boston is the only other city that I feel I could live in. I love Boston. Actually, I hope to move to Orlando when I retire. I would love to work at the parks part time.

The reason I decided to take this vacation by myself is I turned 50 this past July. Yes, Diseyland and I were born 2 days apart and I decided it was now or never.

Mickeymac: I will definitely try and starts some conversations with CM's. Especially when I am on the tours. I am also planning on doing mostly counter service. I only made one reservation and I am not sure I will keep it in the end. I just want to make sure that I can eat healthy choices in all the parts in the counter service resturants.

OK, so when are we going to start planning this Flying Disney Solo trip. It's something we should really consider. I am actually planning on going the first week of May, 2007 when another single friend. Anyone up to join us?

If I am there for work, I would love to join you, otherwise I always have my family. My daughter is great help sometimes (she's nine, hence the 'sometimes' part - lol!)

Where are you dining for your table service option?

I turned 40 this past July, celebrated it at the Grand. It was a wonderful, but too quick, trip.

I went solo once, and ate by myself. I made it a point to talk to the people in line. I even asked a CM to dinner. I know I sat and did people watching alot more. I liked the pause that the sit-down meal gave me.

I have to type fast as everyone is in the office today
Oprah said to take a book to read while you are eating that way you do not feel like everyone is looking at you, its (reading) a distraction for you so that you don't think about dining alone.

Will hop on tonight at home when I can type and think

Foldmama, I am up for a singles trip in 2007!!!! When I turn 50 in 2yrs  my gal pals from HS we are all going to Vegas 8)

Anyway..........gotta get before I get caught :D

I started a new topic under Trip Planning and Reports (on the solo travel topic), I think we can get more into it under that section as I am sure there are singles that want to travel to the parks and hopefully everyone can share their experiences and thoughts.

Bribren - that's a great idea! I love thinking about what celebrations someone might be having while they are there. I especially love thinking about the large groups. They always make me smile. :D

And Deacon, you're such a brat sometimes. I have a lovely 200, well maybe 300 yards of rockless coast about a mile from my house. So there! :p

Mickeymac: Sounds like another good excuse to go to WDW. Big family trip this October or November so I don't think I can afford to go back in December. But the idea of Mousefest sounds like so much fun!

It's fun, but it also amazes me just how many total addicts there are in this world. I thought we were bad.

LOL, the boss said you are sure quiet in here today, and I said oh you know me, I am just chatting on my Disney website :D
he might think I am joking but at least I was being honest. He really wouldn't care, he is great and he knows I work my butt off, so a little chit chat on here won't kill him and it makes my attitude better. They do laugh at me cause someone will say "what is that you are listening to?" and someone else will go "oh that's her Disney station, she can't make it through the work day without it!" YA THINK!!!! I mean is there life outside of SubSonic...no I don't think so!!! ha ha ha, at least not while I am at work

I forgot whatelse I was gonna comment on......brain freeze........
