Yeah, restrooms all day long! I do get to be on Sweeps every now and then. In the next two weeks I think I'm on the street at least twice. If i wanted more, I have to ask the scheduler about it. It's really a drag to be stuck in restrooms for an entire shift. But I do spend some time on the streets when I have time between visiting restrooms.

Today was a pretty easy day. Instead of being in Front Set, I was Back Set. So I didn't get to slip out of my restrooms and go see any athletes. Back Set is a little slower, but for some reason the restrooms get messier fast. Take Sci-fi/ABC Commissary for example. That restroom is so tiny and really can't handle two restaurants. It's not fair for guests and not fair for us custodials that have to constantly monitor it. Also, I hate cleaning out the Sci-Fi cast restroom. Them people be so messy!

I was thinking the other day that it's weird to visit other theme parks(or even mine) as a guest and be helped by a CP. I mean, I see these people on the bus and at work. When I'm giving an order at a restaurant I'm thinkingh, "i wonder where you work...are you a CP?...Vista? Chatham(or if at Epcot- Commons?)? The same goes for the opposite. Like when I'm at work, cleaning or sweeping, and someone I know is a CP asks where something is, or just walks into a restroom. I guess it's just something about being a peer. Ehh..yeah, can't really explain it.

Well I just got off of work and I'm home by myself. It's really boring being alone! Speaking of being alone; my roommate is pretty much all packed and ready to take the next train out of here! There's only two more days of work, and then good riddance. It's a shame, if my roommate wasn't so self-absorbed they could've really have had a good time here.

Tomorrow maintenance is coming to our apt to check for ants. I did see two ants by my bed yesterday, but that's strange because there isn't food underneath or near...at least I don't think so

Um my roommate just came home, so I gotta go. Bye all.

What is the difference between front and back set.. I would assume back set is only cast members, however, you state that the ABC bathroom is used by guests as well...

Keep it up! still waiting on some cool behind the scenes pictures!

Awesome reports on the ESPN Weekend. It must stink just doing bathrooms but it's good to hear that you're not complaining because if you start to complain is when it stops being fun. :)

No updates for my situation yet.

Looong day today. Extra Magic Hours! It was pretty easy though because the park was pretty empty even before the extra magic began. I like these quiet simple days. Well it didn't start out that way. There is one co-worker(part time) that I can't stand. This person just doesn't do a complete job. So of course the person after that person has to pick up and basically do more work. Today that one cast member opened for me, and did good for the most part, but this person messed up on the simple things. The thing that gets me is that this cast member knows better. Even though I'm a CP, I'm not going to let this one person get away with slacking off. If it happens one more time, I'm going to give a piece of my mind to that CM.

But then that anger lasted for like two hours, then I was happy because the opening manager wrote "good morning :)" on the restrooms sheets. That sorta cheered me up. Just the little things makes a big difference. And a guest complimented me on working hard, so that was cool as well. I closed everything on time with ample time to spare, so it was nice.

Front Set= Icon( on the side of ABC theatre), Shed(across from Star Tours), Backlot Express, ABC cast, Epic cast(both of them), and Great Movie Ride cast(two of them; one of which is the character breakroom).

Back Set= Muppets(the one right at the entrance to Muppet Courtyard), Pizza Planet, Sci-F-/ABC Commissary, Mama Melrose(guest and cast), Sci-Fi cast, Sweetums- which is what we call the Muppet cast for some reason.

Both sets have its challenges. I personally hate Sci-fi cast the most because it's always trashed. Sci-Fi, and Shed get heavy activity as well.

Packwingfan- I hope you hear from someone soon.

I wish I had a better report of ESPN weekend.

Pictures? Hopefully one day before my program ends.

IT sure does sounds like you have a great work ethic. Keep up the great work, and I sure bet it was nice to have a guest compliment you.

It was probably one of us here at Subsonic ;) lol

And since I made 100 posts, I even finally made my post more appealing with a picture of Carousel of Progress & a signature. yay.

I do keep and try a good work ethic going on. I mean there's no point in being miserable for two more months. And if someone at Subsonic complimented me, then right on!

Oh wow, weird! Okay some of you guys here know that I haven't ever seen the Carousel of Progress, but I hate/dread/want to rip out my ear drums whenver I hear "A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow." Yesterday on my day off I woke up early(9am) and took the bus to MK and basically spent the day visiting attractions that I've never done before or would probably never do with friends.

I took the ferry to MK- it was a nice change from the monorail even though I had to wait 20 minutes- but hey I was in no rush! Then I took a grand circle tour of the magic kingdom on the Railroad. Those steam trains rock.

The next thing I did was the Country Bear Jamboree! I have never ever seen that show, and woa- was it...something else. Those heads hanging up on the wall on the Pooh ride at DLR make more sense! It was the regular version of it, because as I understand it there are different versions. The Jamboree was actually pretty fun, and had all kinds of adult innuendo but we won't go there!

I then visited my roommate for a while in Toontown, and then made a beeline and went back to Liberty Square for the Hall of Presidents which made me sleepy and had to snicker at some parts. But the audio-animatronics moved really well. I was surprised to see our current president on stage. Who does the narration?

After that I had some time to kill before the Dream Come True Parade. So I went and indulged myself at the Frontierland Shooting Arcade- which I rock at, actually. I must have done that thing like four times. Then it was time for the parade, and it was nice, but I don't really like the whole snow-globe idea. The song they use is really catchy though.

And then it was off to the TTA, for a nice relaxing ride and then I walked past IT. The Carousel of Progress- the one attraction I dread more than anything. But I had nowhere in particular to go at the moment, so I walked up the ramp and waited only 5 minutes, then sat down. Then it begins. The narration stared off okay, then the song begins and I'm like :| . The dad does his thing, the dog growls then the family talks and then the dad sings, and then it all repeats and the dad sings, and sings again, and then sings some more. And I'm like this :? each time we move. So by the time the show ends, I'm sitting there with one hand covering one ear and I can't wait to get out of there.

There's nothing wrong with that show, it's just the song KILLS me. I wanted to drive a white WDW pen into my ears. Never again if I can help it.

After that ordeal, I eat at Cosmic Rays Starlight Cafe. It's cool how there's different toppings you can put on your food. If you were really stingy, you could just make a salad for yourself for free. After that, I do the Indy Motor Speedway. So I'm waiting in line, and then it's my turn to get into my car. But first I gotta wait for the lady before me to get out of her car so I can sit down. She gets out and tells me, "good luck!" I drive, so I didn't think it was anything I needed to worry about. I was so wrong! For the love of Mickey, I couldn't straighten out my wheel for like half the time! I kept hitting the metal rail in the middle. Bang! Bang! I do cuss, so yeah I was cussing and laughing at the same time. Good thing I was driving alone and no one was around me. I get off, and now I'm a little upset and mostly embarrased. So I head back over to the shooting arcade(my weakness), and then I'm back to happy.

For the rest of the night, I hang out with my roommate in Toontown, and we watch Wishes, and then go home. It was a pretty cool day, and I can't wait to go back and explore the park again.

Today I'm going to Epcot with a roommate because I've been dying to ride Test Track ever since it re-opened. That ride is so awesome. If Soarin wasn't there, then that would be my favorite attraction. Then tonight some friends are coming over and we're just chilling.

Then tomorrow it's back to work. Yippee doo dah.

I'm sorry to hear you hate the COP. That has been and always will be one of my favorite rides in the MK. I love the song as well. I usually end up humming that or How do you do from Splash Mountain daily.

Sounds like a fun day at MK!

Yeah, CoP just isn't for me. Everytime I hear the song, I think my head is going to explode.

The Splash Mountain song rox. But I haven't been on it other than once since I got here. I need to go back to MK. You know what songs really get stuck in your head whether you like it or not? The songs in the Muppet Courtyard area. For the holidays they were playing instrumental versions of the songs, but now the lyrics are back. Kermit, Ms Piggy and their friends sing to me daily.

So yeah, Epcot was an adventure the other day. I just wanted to ride test track. But no! On the bus ride to Epcot, our bus stalls and we're on the side of the road for like 10 minutes. Then for some reason, the bus decides to stop being an arse, and just goes again. My roommate(not the one that's leaving) and I finally get there, and see the wait time for Test Track. There is no way we're going to wait 50 minutes. But we also didn't want to get Fast Passes for it, because we wanted to get them for Soarin(gotta do this one, i guess). So as we're walking away from Test Track, these two ladies hear me complain about the wait, and hand me their FPs. Awesome!

So now we got Test Track FPs, now all we gotta do is get ones for Soarin. We make our way there, and get them. Now get got some time to kill before it's 3:20. We take the boat to Morocco and head to the American Pavillion. Funnel cake! Yeah! After that we take the boat back to Canada and back towards Test Track because it's our time to go. We get there and THE RIDE IS BROKEN. NNOooOO! So now I'm upset and have nothing to do until 4:30(Soarin' FP). I think we just shop around for a bit, then head over to Soarin and get into the FP queue.

The short walk up the ramp took longer than usual becaus the slowest people on earth were in front of us. They were seriously leading a parade of people until we got to the end of the ramp. We wait and wait cuz something's up and only one concourse is functioning. We ride- I'm happy again. Then we go back to Test Track, and it's still broken. I'm not happy. By this time it's around 5pm, and we gotta head back home to meet some friends. So yeah, all I wanted to do was ride Test Track! Frustrations! Next time, Lion.

Well guess who's back folks? Music? Check. Short skirts? Check. Pom Poms? Check. Band? Check. Team spirit? Check. Brains? Che..well I don't know about that. :P You heard me right, the cheerleaders are here once again. This time they're college cheerleaders. Last night as I was taking out some trash, I heard a group of them practice their cheer. Let's hope they're a little more civil than their pre-teen counterparts.

So yes, my roommate is out of here! Well some of their stuff is still lying around, but all the bed sheets and pillows aren't on the bed, so that means they ain't sleeping here no more. I was tempted to get my roommate a little token of going away, but I said forget it. I mean, what was I thinking? I'm just too nice.

Does anyone know any decent Chinese or Japanese restaurants in the Orlando/Disney area? I've been craving Asian food for the past few days now.

I have heard bad things about Nine Dragons in the World Showcase and that isn't from just a few people, it's been a lot but I've never eaten there personally. I would search online for Asian food in the Orlando/Kissimissee Area. I'm sure there is something!

College cheerleaders? At least their legal this time! :)

Nine Dragons is in China and that's the one that has bad reviews and food (in my opinion). The one in Japan, Mikitoshi (or however it's spelled) has excellent food prepared right before you. On a side note, we had excellent sushi at Wolfgang Pucks full service restaurant in DTD West Side (I believe).

I got the take out menu for China 3- which is near Papa Johns Pizza on Vineland Rd. I don't know if it's good at all, but I'm willing to try(or just desperate).

I've eaten at Nine Dragons at Epcot in the China Pavillion. The food there is good, the service is so so(depends which server/waiter you get), but the food is too expensive and not worth it in my opinion. They need to get a PA system up in there.

I've also tried that quick service Japanese restaurant and I liked that one. I've only had the chicken plate and the chicken curry, but it was good if a bit salty. I do want to eat at Mitsukoshi(sp?)- the sit down restaurant as well. But right now I'm a little upset at Epcot(see earlier post).

Well I was wrong about the cheerleaders. Their ages were all over the place this time. I swear some were about 5 years old and looked ridiculous with all that make up on. Then there were the loud and obnoxious teens. Those girls show no respect to the attendants standing in front of the restrooms. And the mothers can be vicious too.

Last night there was a dance in front of the hat and many of the teams were having a jolly ol' time (among other things  that we won't on this happy family forum). It was funny because their parents/chaperones were just sitting on the benches waiting for the night to end, but the drunk parents/chaperones were right there in the crowd trying to dance. Let's just say my co-workers and I had some good laughs.
