NaCler are you aware of new regulations recently passed requiring past trip reports to be posted before anyone can go on their next trip?
 I'm thinking we are going to be treated to a mega-report one of these days maybe??

Good luck being at WDW over Spring Break  Hopefully it isn't too crowded for y'all...

Relatively speaking...

I think it's best in January and early February, and October isn't too bad.

It is so tough because most of the times that I have gone that have been historically low crowd levels have been bad - in the past couple of years. We went the week between marathon weekend and MLK day this year and it was BEYOND crowded. There were a TON of people there from out of the country - so it must have been their time off and everyone came to WDW.
I really hope that October isn't as busy because that is the best weather and time of year to go. Hope to go this year but HOPE that the crowds aren't too crazy.

January and February are part of the BTG season, so it can be very crowded at the parks...

It's more like "attractions are very crowded" when the BTGs are there. You can walk around and see them whenever they stop in the middle of the street/walkway...but most of the time they are in the queues...inflating the wait times.

DW and I experienced this on POTC. The wait time posted was about 10 minutes...and my Lines App said it was about the same. Well...just a few minutes prior to us walking up...a few BTGs walked up with probably 80 people in them. It turned our 5 minute wait into about 35. We were not very happy...and had no clue they were there due to the POTC queue being inside.

the POTC cueue CM's should have run a red tag through the queue with them, to readjust the queue wait clock... but maybe they did, and it had not yet made it to the front to help you BIG...

Yeah...it just stinks when a giant group gets to an attraction right before you get there. I've seen some big Japanese groups do this as well...sometimes using FPs...which can really defeat the whole purpose.

We are planning a last minute trip to WDW over spring break, first week of April. 17 days until we leave for FL! Excited, but crowds are going to be huge. Went over Thanksgiving, so I am thinking if we survived that we can survive spring break. And we have been able to get ADRs! :goofy_bounce:

We have tried all the standard restaurants - ohana, kona, derby, prime time, boma, tusker house. Any recommendations for something different? Maybe a place that is overlooked or underrated?

SO excited!

Yeah, we ran into this in January. In fact, we just snuck into Mission: Space (Green) before a BTG entered the queue, and it was practically a walk-on (10 minute wait for Orange). When we exited the ride and turned around to go again, the wait times jumped to 30 minutes (Green) and 45 minutes (Orange)

That's pretty awesome that you were able to secure ADRs on such late notice! We really like Via Napoli ~ the zeppoli dessert is a must try...little fried airy dough balls with fresh whipped cream and a decadent chocolate sauce. We've never tried anything but the pizza and that has been hit or miss depending on how hot the ovens have been. The other diners' pasta entrees have looked tasty though :D

We just back back mid February. We were there first two weeks in Feb. only attraction that had a huge line was toy story mania. Fast Pass was empty by 11:00 AM. The longest wait for the tower was 10 minutes. it was great.

Wow ~ sounds like you went at a great time! When you say Toy Story Mania had a huge line, how long are we talking? In the 75-90 minute range?
