WDW….the hipster?
Maybe this is just me, but has anyone noticed how Disney World, more specifically, the Animal Kingdom, is kind of a hipster?
Why? Walt Disney first built Disneyland because he didn't want the environment of the typical amusement park of the day. Well, at Chester and Hester's Dino-rama in AK, there are several midway games that are typically found only at carnivals and amusement parks. I can't think of how many times I saw one at the carnivals in Nashville, or at any of the Six Flags parks. But, I never thought I would see one at WDW. But, it's one of those things that…works. It just kinda fit the theme. Totally ironic thing to do.
Well, for those that don't know, a hipster is a person who, among other dumb things, does stuff for the ironic value. Well, since Disney put these midway games in, isn't that kinda ironic, and hipster-like? And, now that I think about this, Toy Story MIDWAY Mania kinda is too, huh?

It's only hipster if other parks copy it and then AK notes how it did it before it was cool.

That's just a confirmation of the hipster badge. I think Universal might have...

This would then trigger a cascade of "Bit*c, Please" comments until an old boardwalk is shown.

Wow, that just made me think about WDW and get sad...
"They say the neon lights are bright on Broadway..."
The only two places I will ever need to be are Manhattan and Disney World.
