I don't really see being open for 24 hours as being all that much better, from a guest's perspective, than the evening EMH that MK has during the summer. If people want to be in MK at 1:00 AM...they can be. If you want to see MK at sunrise...sign up for the WDW Half Marathon. ;)

Let's assume you go to the MK from rope drop until close, during the shortest season. That's what, 9 am to 6 pm? 9 hours walking around is probably the most that most people can handle. The number of people who would want to be there 12, 15, 18 hours, or longer, are few - and then to charge them for that, you've shrunk the list of potential guests even further. I can see Disney trying it this summer (great point on the summer heat) but I also don't see it lasting very long.

In response to the bold in the quote: Like I said, most of the guests who were there the longest, left the park for a few hours to rest up. Heck, the parking CMs on the trams were trying to entice most of the guests who didn't know about MK being open 24 hours to go rest later in the day and come back to spend more time at night/in the morning. Most of those guests left and never came back the rest of the day/night of the event. There aren't enough guests willing to pay to stay that long in the park(s). The only reason this can be considered a success is because most of the people there for the event were either pass holders or CMs who already had a way into the park without paying that day.
We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

Yeah...locals and CMs are the only people I could ever see wanting to do the whole 24 hour thing...because it would just be too tiring for guests already there to change their touring plans to include a late night in one of the parks. Of course I am mainly speaking of the families with younger kids.

I don't think your point only applies to families with young kids. We adults have to remember that the GO-GO-GO hectic, frenetic pace of our every day is not something we should carry into our vacations.

Hey, as a high school kid with high school friends, the majority of the people I know, myself included, would totally take a trip down to Disney for the full 24 hours!

The only two places I will ever need to be are Manhattan and Disney World.
