Six year lapse in visiting Disney....
My family hasn't been to the WDW in 6 years, but we have scheduled a month long trip from mid- April to mid-May.
I was wondering today what tracks I can still expect to hear in the Parks after all these years. Obviously a simple "list" would be impossible, but for anyone who has been recently, maybe you can identify some tracks that I can look forward to hearing!
Thanks in advance for any responses!

basically all the loops are up-to-date, with the exception of the main street loops are a bit OOD, since they added some music from UP to the mix...

Wow ~ a whole month?! That's great! Do you do other things while you are in Florida? And are you coming from overseas?
I think you'll find the parks have some of the music from attractions that are no longer there which is kind of nostalgic when you hear them...

Last I heard (literally), it was only Disneyland that got that update (IMHO, the track from UP fits Main Street perfectly, aside from the depressing part of that song, of course...).dstrawn9889 wrote:basically all the loops are up-to-date, with the exception of the main street loops are a bit OOD, since they added some music from UP to the mix...
We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

We are a homeschooling family so we are using this year as an opportunity to travel with our daughter. We aren't from overseas. We are from the eastern shore of Maryland. We plan on spending 8 days in the Parks and probably 4 at Universal. It is a "working" vacation in that my husband will still be working on Tuesday through Thursday (he telecommutes) and my daughter and I will be doing school on those days!Amy wrote:Wow ~ a whole month?! As far as the music currently in the Parks: as I listen to Subsonic I can imagine what it "looks" like in the Park where that particular music is played and I can imagine what it will be like when I, for instance, walk through the Epcot/Spaceship Earth area and hear the background music. And I'm wondering...will that still be like what I hear on Subsonic in say, for instance, the 2007 loop OR will it be different!
One of the things that I look forward to in any vacation is the PLANNING part of it. For me, the planning and anticipation is part of the fun, almost as much fun as the vacation itself! So I am listening to Subsonic almost constantly now, in anticipation of our trip!

What a great trip to be able to take with your daughter! I don't know that you would notice the loops too much unless you specifically stop and listen to them for awhile. Even from the different years, I believe there is some overlap to the songs that are included in the loops.DisneyYorkie wrote:We are a homeschooling family so we are using this year as an opportunity to travel with our daughter. Oh I see...DisneyYorkie...we got a Yorkie puppy about five months ago! It will be his first trip to Disney/Florida. We are renting a pet friendly home! What a great trip to be able to take with your daughter! Since you'll be so very close, don't miss the opportunity to go over to Cape Canaveral for an afternoon. The science teacher in me is chomping at the bit with all the ideas for lessons, etc. that can be gleaned from such a visit.DisneyYorkie wrote:Oh I see...DisneyYorkie...we got a Yorkie puppy about five months ago! Re: Six year lapse in visiting Disney....
My parents took me to Cape Canaveral when I was 4 years old back during my first trip to WDW...in 1986. So...with only 2 parks they had to figure out other things to keep a 4 year old entertained. From what I remember of it...I had a "blast"cy1229 wrote:Since you'll be so very close, don't miss the opportunity to go over to Cape Canaveral for an afternoon. Have fun!!And the physics of thrill rides... I could go on and on.

I would love going to Orlando for a month! DW and I actually tried to look into possibly moving there...but with this economy it didn't really seem all that smart. I have a great, stable job where we are and anything I would get in the Central Florida area would most likely be contract work...which is anything but stable.
