Has Anyone Heard About Free Dining This Year?

Post by rphillips14 » Feb Sat 18, 2012 8:00 am

I have not heard anything about free dining being extended past late March. This would really crimp our plans later this year. Anyone have any info on free dining?

I guess not but for us it's about $1,500 difference. Now if we can get 40% off we're still OK but we really love free dining.

I haven't seen any free dining offers yet either. I wonder if they will stick to discounting rooms to bring people in. That certainly costs them less than the free food ~ I would think anyhow, because I doubt many people pay full price for a room anyhow.

We received an offer for free dining via email. Awesome deal! We've stayed at Pop Century twice and All Star Movies once so this will be our first time at Port Orleans Riverside. Also, this will be our first time using the dining plan since we've never been able to decide how much it would benefit our family of six but, this year, I guess we'll find out.

Anyway, it turns out the free dining offer was actually a better deal than the other Springtime offer that Disney is offering.

Do you still have the dates that the free dining offer was good for?

I wonder why CMs can't book through our thing and get free dining... granted, they changed our DDP and we now get the refillable mugs for free, but still. They only offer us the 50% off DDP when we book, we'd have to book via Disney like a normal guest to get it free.

I hope I get that email too. It's definitely worth more than 30% off the moderate resorts. However, in trying not to be greedy, if I get any deal for the September trip that I've already booked, I'll be happy. (But I do love free dining!!)

That's nice that you get the refillable mugs for free. Are they good for any of the resorts then? And do you have to bring it with you each time, or can you get a new one if you do a hotel stay?

This is from the email I received: "Just choose the deal that's right for you for arrivals most nights 3/4–3/31 & 4/15–6/30/12." It also states that you need to book by 3/31/12.

Thanks ~ that might help someone out that is trying to go before then. They can at least ask when they book :D

Never heard this before. I suppose you could call the (407)W-DISNEY number and inquire...
