Me too! Not enough to run 13.1 miles though probably
I don't need the probably. I KNOW I wouldn't run the 13.1 miles. Not all at once. More like 100 yards today, 75 yards tomorrow, 150 yards the next day...

That's how I started I downloaded the couch to 5k onto my ipod and of I went. I had already signed up for the race for life 5k in memory of my aunt that passed last year and had 13weeks to do a 12week training.
I am sure I will do the. 5k again this year. Joe is signing us both up to do the Windsor half marathon in October so we will see how that goes and if it all goes to plan I will be heading to Florida to get a mickey medal in 2014 or maybe 2015.

If you can dream it you can do it.

I'm sure it helps when you have someone to support your training too!

Hm, I think you've inspired me that I can potentially run a marathon here if only I try.... I'd love to train and do one within a few years but I don't know.... :?

Download it to your computer from here and then upload a week at a time, if you don't feel ready to move on to the next week just stick were you are until you feel ready.

Amy it is always good to have someone to back your training. Joe has not been running as much since he came back from the Goofy challenge he has had breathing problems, they still don't know what the problem is but as I am a steady runner he can come out with me. Hopefully he will get it sorted as he really wants another Goofy.

Soarin you can do it but you may need access to a running machine as it is so darn hot to train outside where you are.

I hope Joe figures out his breathing problems. I gather he has been a runner all his life so I imagine he is really frustrated not being able to train regularly. Glad he is still able to go out with you. Maybe there is a new sort of allergen causing him problems?

Wouldn't it be good for Soarin' to be able to train in the heat and humidity that she would be running in for a race? Not during the middle of the day in the summer mind you  but she could run very early in the morning, or later in the evening when the temps are down to whatever passes for reasonable in Florida

I downloaded "C25k" yesterday. Haven't had a chance to look at it yet, probably will this weekend. It's not about the weight loss I hope to get (although that would be nice) it's about trying to be a healthier me. I'll let you know how that goes. I've NEVER been a runner. EVER. But even if I just get up to a fast walk without my knees killing me, I'd like that. I'm 44 and just now realizing I need to be healthier. :P

I will be 48 this year and I just started last year so you can do it.

Amy he only started running a couple of years ago it was pyhsio for his back that got him going although he used to be a sprinter when we were at school.
Yes Soarin would be better training.the heat but remember the race is run in January which is their winter.

I thought Joe had been running for years. Good for him that he has done so much then!
I guess January does bring some colder weather to Florida. If you can run in their August heat and humidity, you can probably run in anything
