I'm sad for you pixiesparkles  It's one of my absolute faves as well. TRY to focus on your other favorites as best you can

BTM has one of the worst queues at WDW...not sure what they are doing while the ride is down, but anything done to the queue will be a welcomed addition!!

Closed for over four months. They better do something with the queue!!

Are we adding inter-active video games?

I'm hoping they don't but anything would be an improvement IMHO.

I wouldn't doubt that they might add something interactive to the queue. They have found success doing that with Winnie the Pooh and Space Mountain...

That would be a good idea, adding something interactive to the queue. Going back and forth in the endless line can be mind stripping. And maybe because of the atmosphere of the attraction, it just seems really hot in there!

I never thought about the fact that the desert is supposed to be hot  I think it is only because of the crammed queue though. I hope they install some fans like they have over in the Animal Kingdom's Primeval Whirl. That queue was pretty cool with all the huge fans, even though it was a blisteringly hot day and there were lots of people in line!

Yeah, the queue is nuts!!! Hopefully there will be a fix for that. But I have to say, those switchbacks are sure great for creating some mayhem!

Oh please no more interactive queues. Those make the lines even worse since no one finds it necessary to pay attention to the fact the line is moving.

UPDATE: Was at the MK today and they are redoing the queue. From the MK Train, you can see that they've demo'd most of the "crazy" portion of the queue and from the front, it seems that they are pushing out the outer walls.

YES. That ride is in DESPERATE need of a new queue. Is that the only major change being made?

The only two places I will ever need to be are Manhattan and Disney World.
