Re: DCA Gets A Worthy Overhaul Budget
Other DCA observations today, it appears they are adding dust/dirt back to the walls of Condor Flats as they were painting them with "dirt" at lunch today, and the projector is back near CS so I am guessing world of color will be having a post show for John Carter like the TronCore.

No, not John Carter. Brave is going to be added to WOC.

Re: DCA Gets A Worthy Overhaul Budget
Ah, I am surprised they don't build a real housing, rather than the temp one, around the projector since it seems to be used with some frequency. I don't think they are going to go as heavy with the projection mapping though, since those projectors are gone/over at DLR.
Oh! Speaking of, I did see HM yesterday and it looks like the route for the floating leota video is a lot smaller than before (which means a new movie was made) so, hopefully it will work better.

Re: DCA Gets A Worthy Overhaul Budget
Not since the removal of HMH for the season. I think part of the reason they had kept the classic mode (on the pedestal) was that the updates would not be swift so they needed to use the lag time of the closure to do it. If I recall, one of the big problems, and why they don't have the flying one all the time, is that the system is really sensitive since the projector is static and the face projection moves within the frame. Using a narrower range of motion probably made it easier to keep on track.

It's late considering it was a holiday!
I do wonder why there would be high crowds this week after today though.

That still seems inprobably lofty that there will be a super high crowd level on weds. I can't imagine there being many people other than the nutjobs who want the free hat with a sticker on it.

I had to reaaure my friends today that I really am not going to be at WDW or DL on Wed. They were all convinced I would be there...and I would if I could!Wizzard419 wrote:That still seems inprobably lofty that there will be a super high crowd level on weds. I just noticed something, several of the special food items were offered at the AP holder event a few months ago.

They already know the secret, the more sugar and fat in it, the more popular it will be, that and pie. There are always places serving pie... I won't comment on the mac and cheese toppped hot dog though.
I do wonder, why the new orleans square establishments seem to be the hub during these events. Are their kitchens better prepared for it?
I do feel bad for the performers since some people, who work days, will be working overnight. Hopefully thursday will not have them working too.
