I wasn't trying to be ... ... negative. Just wondered how far out ressies at the more romantic locations are needed. I haven't eaten at AP since 2001 but when we ate there it was FANTASTIC.Amy wrote:Ooops, hadn't seen that he was only looking for anniversary suggestionscy1229 wrote:Wouldn't you guys choose V&A's or LBDParis for an anniversary dinner? I haven't been to any of those restaurants....just looking through and found a good review for the Captain's Grille...
I would guess the more romantic locations would fill up quickly ~ because wouldn't they be a little more intimate spots with fewer tables?cy1229 wrote:I wasn't trying to be ... ... negative. College teaches you how to survive on an empty bank account and an empty pantry.mills10 wrote:Yeah a more romantic place would be fun, but at the same time we are poor college students and are good at making anything special!
I'll never forget when I reached into my jacket pocket my senior year of college and was excited to find a WHOLE DOLLAR.theBIGyowski wrote:College teaches you how to survive on an empty bank account and an empty pantry.mills10 wrote:Yeah a more romantic place would be fun, but at the same time we are poor college students and are good at making anything special!
La Hacienda. My family loves that one. And they have some awesome appetizers to order for the entire meal, or consider the $50 sampler platters they have, those feed at least 2. If you can dine after 8.30pm you'll get your 20% in a park.cy1229 wrote:I'll never forget when I reached into my jacket pocket my senior year of college and was excited to find a WHOLE DOLLAR.theBIGyowski wrote:College teaches you how to survive on an empty bank account and an empty pantry.mills10 wrote:Yeah a more romantic place would be fun, but at the same time we are poor college students and are good at making anything special!![]()

Ok if we're thinking more budget-minded, Mills, then we want to direct you to bang for the buck. Something like Teppan Edo, perhaps, or the new one in the Mexico pavilion (I can't remember the name of it!). The restaurant in the Seas building (again, the name is slipping my mind, what the heck) have gotten mixed reviews. I wasn't outrageously thrilled with it but I've read reviews that are raving. I don't know, maybe you've already got someplace in mind.
I would like to try Narcoossee's once. It sounds like it really has nice food ~ plus it is soooooo fun to sayBelle1082 wrote:We really had a nice meal at Narccoossee's at the Grand Floridian. You can get a table next to the window and have a beautiful view of Bay Lake, as well as the Magic Kingdom. It was definitely more quiet and relaxed there than most of the park restaurants. We had the lobster and it was incredible!
Plus, after or before dinner, you can step out onto the deck that surrounds the restaurant for an even more beautiful view!

Hmm if you are a broke college student like me than you need to think about food quantity vs. price. Teppan Edo would be one of the last places to come to mind as it is like Benihana but more money and less food. I personally think something that is all you can eat but not buffet style would be most fulfilling. Another option might be like Kona Cafe, Grand Floridian Grill, or even the DTD restaurants.cy1229 wrote:

The best bet to getting in is to start reserving 180 days in advance when reservations open up. If that is an issue I recommend keeping a constant check on disney's site. You can easily make your dining reservations online at disneyworld.com. Through constant checking I was able to get all I wanted last yearpixiesparkles wrote:We make our reservations for our sit down meals as soon as possible. Some places are booked a year in advance, but I have found that in many instances, if you call back often, you will be able to get in. However, don't think you can do so just before your trip....most reservations are fairly iron-clad by then. The sooner you book them, the better chance of getting what you want.
MY DW and I had our anniversary dinner at Citrico's at the Grand Floridian in mid October with only 2 week prior reservation.cy1229 wrote:Wouldn't you guys choose V&A's or LBDParis for an anniversary dinner? Something a little quieter and more romantic - or Artists' Point at WL?
