Re: Trouble at the MK???
I guess, from a management standpoint, I can understand why they might not be immediately closing Splash Mountain for a refurb. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is already shut down for lengthy reconstruction and if they shut down Splash Mountain, the other big draw to Frontierland, people won't really have that big a reason to visit the area, so they can't afford to close them both. That doesn't mean it's not incredibly disappointing, but I do see the reasoning behind it. That said, it had better not turn into another Yeti. Everest has had that issue for way too long. It's a major detraction from the ride, and three years at least without it running is seriously unacceptable, especially for Disney. Everest isn't new enough anymore for people to still be flocking to it for the novelty, so they won't be making things terrible if shut it down to fix the Yeti. Like the Yeti, I think the Showboat scene is an incredibly important part of Splash Mountain, and to have it be permanently less than functional break my heart.

The only two places I will ever need to be are Manhattan and Disney World.
