Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
the walls are for show, there are portcullises all through them. as for getting to mad tea party, you can come in from tomorrowland or around the carousel... the walls are to delineate Fantasyland from the other areas, like the portcullis b/t adventureland and frontierland

Click the second link in the first post of the thread and you will see concept art of the entire expansion (pre-Mine Train) that shows the castle wall.cy1229 wrote:Me too. Seems like that narrow pathway on the south side of Snow White will become awfully crowded and busy if they block off the entire area from Snow White to Pinocchio. And getting from Pooh and the tea cups will be a pain, make it disconnected from the rest of Fantasyland.Amy wrote:I'm having a hard time visualizing this...cy1229 wrote: So will the only way to get to the Teaparty be to go around the other side of Snow White?

I have insider photos of the expansion progress now...
But I don't think I can share since they were sent in a company email. But still. It's gonna be so amazing.

Is Snow White closing for good with everything that is happening and with the opening of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Ride?

Wow it seems like Disney wasted no time this year in getting the refurb projects started. Looks like every part of the park is receiving attention.
Kind of weird to see Dumbo behind the wall and closed like that. I just hope the new dueling Dumbos can still offer a decent view like the old location.

I'd just like to say I am very excited about all of this. Why? Not just because I love WDW, but because I know that Disney is making an investment in the parks for the next generation. It's so easy to see all of the failures of the past 15-20 years with attractions and pavilions being neglected. But to know that MK will have a new and exciting place for this next generation of kids is very exciting. Same thing goes for the Art of Animation Resort. As a future dad...I am pumped.

theBIGyowski, congratulations on being a "future dad."
And as someone who loved Walt Disney World before he had children, as great as it is to you now, it will grow ten-fold when you see your kids eyes light up in Disney. There's nothing like it! Congratulations again!

Yes, it is definitely a promising step for the futuretheBIGyowski wrote:I'd just like to say I am very excited about all of this. Why? If you think about the heat and humidity we get here in the Florida, you can't let things go for too long without giving it some attention. USO has been bad about it, and I remember my first trip to IoA found Seuss Landing badly faded with peeling paint...Len90 wrote:Wow it seems like Disney wasted no time this year in getting the refurb projects started. Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
Looking at the aerial pics on Magic that were posted yesterday ( http://www.wdwmagic.com/Attractions/Fan ... n-site.htm ) makes me very excited! Things are looking great.
Really excited about almost everything. Especially that they ditched the elaborate Cindy/Aurora M&Gs and are giving us a new SWatSD ride instead. Glad the fairies got the boot too, to be honest.
My lone complaint in this whole venture is the Dumbo move. Seems like a major downgrade in the view, and I do have to wonder just how much stink from the Speedway will float on over. I have major sinus issues, so I may have a problem on my hands now due to this move.

I think the new Dumbo views will be pretty good. You'll be surrounded by the Beauty and the Beast's and Ariel's castles, and probably the Dwarves' mine. Maybe this will be the year the Speedway goes electric?!
