If I only lived 1 mile away from Cinderella castle it would be a dream come true! I would definitely have tried Tangerine cafe too by now too lol.

Apparently the next time we get to WDW, we're gonna have to check out Pecos Bill's. I wouldn't be against trying Tangerine Cafe either...I think Cbog40 could find something there too.

Amy, did they have any sauce available for the falafel? Perhaps that would help with the dryness...if not, maybe it can be requested on the side?

Sunshine Seasons.

Best choices and a nice atmosphere. It never seems busy when we are there either.
And a great thing to do while waiting for your Soarin' fastpass time to come around :)

I don't remember any sauces. I tried putting the sides on to help, but it just wasn't quite right. Maybe a nice tzatziki sauce would help ~ not sure if the Moroccans would go along with the Greek addition though :? Seems like it would go together since it tastes tasty on gyros :D

Seems that Mediterranean food is very similar - which just makes sense. Fusion is a very hip thing in the food world, maybe you'd start your own fusion - EPCOT fusion.

They do have a yogurt sauce that they put on the shwarma platter - its like tzatziki. I always ask for it on the side b/c I like to dip. I'm sure you could get some w/ the falafel platter if you wanted.

I like the taco salad at Pecos Bills. Really they just give you the shell & some meat and you fix the rest @ the fixins bar. This is nice b/c you can keep refilling your salad until you've had as much as you want. Plus there's nacho cheese so you can dip your salad shell into that!

We did end up eating at Flame Tree BBQ this weekend and it was really good. The ribs were well spiced and smokey - not dry at all. The sides of coleslaw & baked beans are ok - pretty typical bbq fare. Also their onion rings are good. My husband had only eaten there once & didn't remember it. He wants to make it a regular stop for us now.

There was obviously some sort of greenery and sauce on the pita sandwiches as evidenced by my photo here...

Guess I sort of forgot about the sliders having something in there with the few pieces of meat. Not sure what the sauce was, but the falafel was still too dry.

Pecos Bills is good but when it is open there is a small counter service across from Pirates that makes awesome taco bowls my family must eat there whenever it is open at the MK.

AK - My absolute favorite is Flame Tree BBQ love the food and atmosphere, to sit and eat at the waters edge watching everest hearing the screams eating some awesome bbq! Yum My wife and sons love it there as well! :donald:
The area music there is also my favorite for a counter service very calm and relaxing! :donald:
Look for the Bear necessities!!! Trust in me, just in me Shut your eyes and trust in me You can sleep safe and sound Knowing I am around!!

Not sure if this qualifies for "Counter" service but the wolfgang puck express in Downtown Disney that is included on the quick service dining plan stink in' rocks!

We just ate there this past trip and we would have to agree with you. You get a lot of great tasting food for one quick service dining credit too!

Half the fun at WDW is the food, haha, so I have a few favorites...

MK: 1. Hot dog & fries from Casey's, both with nacho cheese sauce. 2. Philly steak sandwich from Cosmic Ray's + the fixings bar; not exactly the same as the one at The Plaza, but still very good and cheaper.

Epcot: 1. Nachos from Cantina de San Angel, I think it's called now, in Mexico. 2. Ham & cheese sandwich, toasted, from Boulangerie in France. Norway's Kringla used to have yummy sandwiches, but they ruined them a few years ago and switched to, IMO, an inedible type of bread, among other things.

Haven't been a fan of DHS' counter service options for many years (Pizza Planet is passable, when I have to eat CS there), and I don't really care for AK's either. Used to like the salads at Pizzafari, but they have gone downhill the last couple years, too.

DTD: Earl of Sandwich. I prefer the Ham & Swiss sandwich, but the tuna is pretty great too (and I'm not really a tuna person at all).

Resorts: My hands down fave is Tonga Toast from the Poly's Captain Cook's. YUM! :donald:
