When do you plan on going? Don't forget there are the new Art of Animation suites opening soon. Will you eb renting a van or SUV? If so you can look into an All-Star vacation home. Very affordable and you get your own gigantic house!

The prob with staying here is if your driving and there are 2 cars in your party. Only one of you can park at the treehouses and the other car must park at the resort. I know this cuz my fam and I went with 2 cars and we parked both cars in front of the treehouses and by the end of our stay we got a voicemail saying we have to park the other car at the resort. I was not happy with that at all. I like my car in front of the resort where im staying not in another location. I dont like the treehouses at all. I felt the rooms were to small. I dont care about the flat screens that was pt in every room. I was very disappointed with the treehouses. I wish they were like the ones they had back in the day. Im much happier with a regular 2 bedroom. To me they have more room. The only thing with having an older person in your party is they better be able to climb some stairs. Treehouses dont have elevators or wheelchair that I saw when I stayied there

The last time we went to Disney we stayed at the poly. and the DH loved it.....This is the first trip for some of our travelers so i want it to be a great experience.

OMG yes it transportation took forever :( That is another reason I will never stay at the treehouses again. My husband cant wait to stay at the Poly that is his fav resort. He is hoping to stay there very soon  :pluto: :donald:

I agree. I stayed in value resort before I bought the DVC and they were very nice and clean. Honestly, they resemble the DVC rooms. Nothing wrong with staying at the value. Yes, buese are a more crowed but they have alot of buses for the value resorts that your not waiting along time. Honestly, you wait more for a treehouse bus :( :pluto: :donald: :ccat:

When I rented a vechile I would rent at the airport cuz I have a disney chase credit card and I would get a discount on my rental plus an up grade at no extra cost. I dont pick up any insurance cuz my suv still has full coverage so I use it on my rental. Just a thought to save some $$$$ :pluto:

I've stayed at All-star Movies and at Pop Century, and both were very comfortable, clean, and good places to stay. They were a little noisier, and the food courts were crazy but the rooms were good. Hubby used to work security for Disney and he said most of the calls for police were to the Value resorts. I'm not saying that means anything because they also have more rooms (more densely populated) but it is a good thing to know.

Even with all that considered, I STILL think it's nice to have your party all together in one place. :mickey:

With the age group you have I would recommend an Epcot resort. Either Beach Club or Boardwalk. Both are gorgeous resorts with a very short walk to Epcot. And as others have recommended, you will save so much if you look into making reservations through other DVC members, and there are some great websites, David's Disney Vacation Club Rentals being one I have heard nothing but great things about. You could stay in a villa with all the comforts, full kitchen etc., for the same price of a mid-priced resort, not to mention the savings on being able to eat some meals in the villa. Even if it's just breakfast which can run into big bucks at Disney

I Think we are looking into a 2 bedroom villa, we like the thought of having the kitchen and extra room. Also it will be nice to keep everyone together in one area as opposed to two different rooms at other resorts. We are planning on the dining plan also. I like the Idea of being right near epcot, so we are thinking either Beach Club or possibly boardwalk. As we have stayed in teh Animal kingdom villa before and as much as we loved the rooms, pool, and everything about the resort itself, just hated how long it took for busses. We are very excited!!!

Boardwalk looks SO FUN! Do post back with photos and a trip report, especially about the villas at BW. I don't think I've seen any posts on here about that resort. Have a great time!

I totally agree with your choice, I loved when my family stayed at the Beach Club, it also has one of the best pools in WDW. Being within walking distance to epcot is awesome for the older crowds, you can close the park and be in your room 5 minutes after you walk out of the park! Also I feel that Epcot is an "older" park meaning there is alot more for the older crowd to do and enjoy! :donald: Enjoy you will have a blast! :hm_ghost:

Have a wonderful time!!! And since you're staying at Boardwalk/Beach Club area, make sure you go to Cape May Cafe for the dinner seafood buffet. If you like crab legs, it is a must do (there are also non-seafood items for others in your party who might not like seafood) - and the Oreo BonBons are so yummy there!

Please don't use the phrase "Oreo bonbons" in my presence. My keyboard is getting drooled on.

And plus Oreos are my favourite thing to eat ever...

Polynesian, great pool, and best relaxing atmosphere on property.
