I presume that most DVC owners have kids or grandkids...which is why they invested in something as big and long as a DVC membership. Having kids in tote means you need access to good quick service. I don't know if the GF is in a different league altogether though because it probably has less kids than any other Disney Resort.
Don't the people that have DVC usually have a kitchen in which to throw together a quick brekkie or sandwich though? I know one of my piano families always stays at the GF, and have since their children were small. I should ask them if they see many other families there...
The studio rooms have a kitchenette with small fridge and microwave, and paper plates etc. for 4 people. The larger suites have a full kitchen complete with pots, pans, utensils, etc. When we go as a big family, we typically schedule one dinner at the condo so we can use an extra dining credit elsewhere.

When we start bringing little ones to WDW, we'll probably bring sandwiches and snacks into the parks for kids, but I figure DW and I will mostly hit up the CS places for our food.

I have a friend who is about to take his family to WDW and will be staying in a 1 BR Villa at probably the Animal Kingdom Villas. It will be him, his wife, and 3 daughters (5, 3, and 1) so I told him to make sure they stop by Walmart to pick up everything they need for sandwiches and snacks for the kids. I did tell him to make sure they try a few of the CS and TS restaurants though...the ones the little girls will get the most out of...like character meals and all that.

Sorry to get off-topic. I am excited about DVC at GF. Hopefully DW and I will be able to make it down a year or so from now...so we'll see some good progress on construction.

Well, maybe they will add a quick service option to the new DVC area? Or they could expand Gasparillas?
I'm just thinking that it is terribly small to accommodate more people than it already does. But they didn't add more dining to Animal Kingdom or Wilderness Lodge with the DVC added, so I guess that isn't likely.

On another note, the Polynesian will be the only monorail resort without DVC....is that next?

It would seem a little redundant to me to have a DVC accommodation at Poly when there's Aulani in Hawaii. Not sure where they would put it, either, without taking down some longhouses already in place. Then there's the sinkhole issue...

Well if they rennovated and changed the longhouses to accommodate more guests, it could happen. Seemed like there wasn't enough room at Contemporary but they were able to do Bay Lake...anything is possible.
