So would it be fair to say that the report card on the DCA overhaul so far would be:

World of Color +1
Little Mermiad -1

Didn't this topic start back before anything had really begun? Since Toy Story Mania is a +1 if not more since it was a creative application, though a little poor in execution since it takes forever to get on.

The theme changes to the rides Sun wheel -.5 (since I liked the old design better), the swings +.5, the crazy mouse +.5, +1 for the overhaul of the dining to fit in better, and removal of the maliboomer +.25 (since it was progress but not replaced with anything).

I also think Little Mermaid deserve more than -1 since it's the same as getting a bad gift in a pretty package.

I would give redwood Challenge +0.5 it is actually kind of fun. smaller kids can zip line go through trees. It is not a thrill ride but a definite improvement over tha old thing that was there.

Looking forward to Cars Land and Soarin over the World when it get released.

The walkway through Bugsland was also a good improvement for the park.

I would agree that the walkway helps traffic flow through the park. I must have missed something somewhere along the line though ~ are they changing Soarin' in California to a more worldly theme? That would be excellent!

I forgot that redwood did a re-re-theme recently (if I recall it had no movie tie at first, then brother bear, and now Up).

The opening to ToT is good but it's kind of a wash since they pretty much just opened a gate. It neither harms nor helps, other than if you want to go from other areas of the park to there faster.

No hose today, since that would be against the spirit of the holiday, so go roll around in the rain outside or something.

They are going to regret all that copper in about... 3 weeks or so. Possibly longer. One big pain with those is that the oxide/patina isn't just on the copper, some of it will spread to the wall and you get this greenish drip thing all over.

So I was there for lunch today, I noticed that Sleeping Beauty Castle appears to have some kind of saftey railing on the outside. Is that new or has that been there (it's silver colored and has scroll work on it)?

I also notice that they are reverse-aging condor flats as they were putting a fresh coat of paint over the intentionally rusted/weathered earth barriers and are possibly going to paint the name in new paint as well since they were painting around the letters.
