Sorry, it's dead, gone, and part scattered to the ends of the earth.

Sad, but true. I bet some of the stuff has already been recycled into other attractions/restaurants/etc. in the Disney theme-parks world-wide...Wizzard419 wrote:Sorry, it's dead, gone, and part scattered to the ends of the earth.

Spotted some of the outside decorations on the backlot tour a few weeks ago...mindflipper wrote:Sad, but true. Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

Cool, I'll have to look for those. Disneyland's new bar/restaurant by the pool also got some of the old adventurers club parts too didn't they?MadEye wrote:Spotted some of the outside decorations on the backlot tour a few weeks ago...mindflipper wrote:Sad, but true. Yes they did, they might have sold off the stuff that didn't go to any disney park as well.

If I'm not mistaken, didn't they get a ship in a bottle that sinks in a storm or something?Amy wrote:Cool, I'll have to look for those. to paraphrase a movie my kids LOVE...
'all [adventurers club] is dust in the wind, dude!'
???
DUST.<allows sand to fall between fingers>
WIND.<releases some sand into the air and blows it into a cloud of sand>
DUDE.<points at Socrates>
'AH!!!! HAHA! So as the sands in an hourglass, so are the days of our lives!'

UPDATE: Looks like the only thing that will ever be done since the announcement has been just the AMC theater. All theaters are now updated with new seats, carpets and wider staircases along with some to the picture and sound.
On a side note for those who don't know, there are now a few bars so you can get a nice tasty beverage instead of a Coke if you want.

Did some of the Adventurer's Club stuff end up in DisneySea's Tower of Terror? I thought I read that on one of the other Disney-related website.

It might have been added after the ride opened, that is not unusual. I think a huge chunk of it went for Mystic Pointe though.

Re: New Hyperion Wharf - makeover Pleasure Island
Sorry for the necropost.
I was curious, what are the present prices for the "Dine in theaters" at DTD?
A city down here just had one open up from Cineopolis (A sucessful chain of luxury dine in theaters in Mexico) and their prices are high even by OC standards. The reviewer noted that it was like $19.50 for admission and by the time she had a glass of wine and a small quesadilla her bill was $40 before tax and tip.
