I would have to agree that Saratoga is very hotel-like. The kitchen was a good size, and the dining room could seat us all - little kids at the breakfast bar. But yes, it was rather formal in its decor and not how I personally would decorate my space. I have a feeling that BLT is going to be even less "homey" because of its modern feel, but for me some of the fun is staying someplace that's not like my home. However, other people like their accommodations to be as home-like as possible. I have heard that OKW is really big (both the rooms as well as the resort itself) and for that reason is pretty popular. If I were to buy DVC points, I'd probably buy OKW or Saratoga points.

Wouldn't you just love to try a treehouse, though? I know I would. :ccat:

Wow - you hit all the categories didn't you? I would have to guess, even only having stayed at the music out of all these three, I would probably pick AKL too....

My favorite value is definitely POP! Century. Favorite moderate is Port Orleans Riverside (alligator bayou specifically.) Favorite deluxe is Animal Kingdom Lodge hands down no contest.

Isn't this akin to picking your absolute favorite child? :D

I stayed at Jambo House last year at Animal kingdom and loved it.The guests are friendly and the atmosphere is so calming. This year I stayed for two weeks and returned to Jambo House for the first week and tried Bay Lake Towers at the Contemporary for the last week.I found the atmosphere very boring, the guest not as friendly. The cast members are always nice at any resort. But 15 floors of guests and I felt I was the only one there at times.I had the Kingdom View which was nice and the Observation Deck On the 16th floor made up for it.I will return to Jambo House my next trip ...I have found my 2nd home at Jambo.

We have stayed at All Star Music and Sports, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach, AKL, and Beach Club. We have always enjoyed Pop Century in the past because of cost and the fact that we spent little time there. However, now we have a 3-year-old and a stroller in tow. We tried Pop Century again in Jan 2010 and still liked it, but buses are a pain with the stroller and a small child. We returned for Halloween this year and stayed at BC---and now that's the only place I want to stay. LOVED the fact that we could be to Epcot in 5 minutes (our favorite park!). Even better? I could get to 3 different parks without once breaking down the stroller and trying to carry it, the child, diaper bags, shopping bags, etc. onto a bus (we cut through Epcot, grabbed coffee and visited Spaceship Earth, then took the monorail to MK). That made things so much easier (and far faster than taking buses!), especially on the two days when it was just the 3-year-old and I playing in the parks. In addition, our son loved the pool area. I have never heard such delighted squeals from him, and he's still asking to go back to the pool (little tough to do, honey...we're 1,000 miles away....). If we ever buy into DVC, it will be at the Beach Club.

Definitely either the Beach Club or the Boardwalk. I haven't stayed at too many other places, but I really am a huge fan of these two. The decor is nice without being over-the-top, the locations are awesome, and they both have really good entertainment (being on the Boardwalk itself, Stormalong Bay at the Beach Club... What can I say, competitive swimmer, I take notice of the pools :P)
"They say the neon lights are bright on Broadway..."

The only two places I will ever need to be are Manhattan and Disney World.

Great choice! And resale is way cheaper than buying new, too. We've owned at the Beach Club for 3 years now, and we haven't ever regretted our decision. It's a great resort. :D

I've stayed at all of the Mods (POR 2x, once when it was still Dixie Landings; CBR 3x; CSR 1x; POFQ 1x) and then WL 5x.

Wilderness Lodge is my favorite by far. Nothing else comes within a 100 miles of it for me.

CBR was my fave Mod until they Nemo-ified the rooms. I will not stay there now because that ruined the theme for me (a fish from the Australia area in the Caribbean? Alrighty then!), and I don't really have a favorite Mod resort any longer. If I had to choose, I would say POR (specifically the Bayou section), partly because that was the first Disney resort I ever stayed at. Haven't stayed off property since that trip. :donald:

I'v stayed at

All-Star Sports many times
All-Star Movies
Car Beach
Animal Kingdom Lodge
Old Key West
Wilderness Lodge 1Bedrm

Id have to say Wilderness Lodge was the best one but i'm happy to be able to go stay anytime at an All-Star resort and get the Disney service for a reasonable price.
