Very well put. I think of futuristic movies from my childhood (and before), such as 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Star Wars, and yes, even the Jetsons, and there was much more imagination, and outside-the-box thinking about how things would be. We tend to limit our focus as to how the future will be to terms that are familiar and recognizable. I love your idea of something interactive and creative for envisioning the future in place of the Stitch ride. (To be honest, I would be happy with a moon-scape-type bounce house over that thing.) Let Epcot be about reality, and let Tomorrowland be purely fantasy. It is, after all, part of the Magic Kingdom! :mickey:

It's an interesting argument considering both Tomorrowland and EPCOT technically (in my mind) represent the same thing. Every possible aspect of our future. Technology, cool architecture and alot more. It's like Tomorrowland is a taste of EPCOT, where as EPCOT is the full-blown reality. I'm confusing myself just typing this. I don't even know what I'm talking about now. oops.

I've always thought Tomorrowland should be more futuristic than Future World. I view Future World as the more realistic, futuristic technology, whereas I view Tomorrowland as a more sci-fi futuristic land. Future World - futuristic reality. Tomorrowland - futuristic science fiction. That's my opinion!

To me, Future World should be what the future can realistically become. Tomorrowland should be what the far-far-far-far future can hopefully become.

so bring on the Nestromo, the Palomino and the Cygnus, BOB, vincent, maximillion, WALL-E... and repopulate tomorrowland with these rides... replace stitch(blech) with The Black Hole... including a fight scene above with vincent and max..., revamp astro blasters with WALL-E's escape from earth's gravity...(blasting trash around the ship, and satellites out of the way...) or just replace PUSH with wall-e instead, and definately revamp the last show scene of CoP...

Really hated Lilo & Stitch the movie, nothing "Disneylike" about it, so I would never even think about checking out the attraction. I don't know who wrote that story, but how lame  .
That outa my system I have a super great idea :goofy_bounce: :hatter_bounce: :hm_ghost: :ccat: !

BRING HORIZONS TO TOMORROWLAND :goofy_bounce: :ccat: :hm_ghost: :hatter_bounce: !!!! I really can't think of a more perfect addition. Right?!

What about Journey into Imagination? I think Figment would fit better in Tomorrowland anyways. Also don't be hatin on my boy Stitch. I have a picture I drew of him as Elvis hanging on my corkboard in my room.

I took a picture last night of stitch at the EPCOT main entrance. He's all covered in lights. I knew someone liked him - I just wasn't sure who  ;)

Are you talking about DisneyLAND? My hubby and I just sat here reading your list with a huge :?: expression.

BTW I love the Wall-E idea but don't know what "astro blasters" are. The Buzz ride? Because that's a great idea. Make it 3-D.

Why would you want to bring the Nostromo into a Disney Park?.....I know Alien Encounters was an attraction.....but an entire ride dedicated to the Nostromo?! I'd have nightmares for months.
