Yeah, sometimes you gotta do, what you gotta do. I'll take a bad day at Disneyworld anytime over a good day here at work! We honeymooned in December 2000 @ Disneyworld, & had some cold spells while we were there. I love cold weather, so I really enjoyed it, my wife likes "cool" weather but hated the freezing temps. One of the days, it never got out of the 30's. I'd imagine it was a good day to be in character costume!

I went again in 2009 and it was terrible. There were long lines at 1:00 pm just waiting to get into the park (Magic Kingdom). I think the dinner specials were the reason so many people showed up. I don't know if they are doing that again this year.
Your 2009 is how I remember Thanksgiving 2008 at WDW MK. I don't know if it had anything to do with the specials or not. I do remember getting ADR's was a living hell - I had hard time getting ADR's in August for Thanksgiving!

I was told by someone, that it was just what you said. In 2008, they had so much success with that plan, they did it in '09. I don't know if they did it again last year. I think they waited until the last minute to do it. So I have no idea if they are doing it again this year.

We're going to be in EPCOT since we have lunch ressies that day at Via Napoli. We'll likely plan on getting in early staying put...
Is this the first time you have eaten @ Via Napoli? It looks so incredible, inside and out! The ovens are hilarious, what a great idea! And the food looks amazing of course. I love the story of duplicating the water from Italy to make the pizza crust the same, aaah Disney perfection  .

We ate at Via Napoli on the last trip and really liked it. The pizza was really tasty and the Zeppoli dessert was awesome!!! I think we also got the spinach dip appetizer but don't really remember that much. The only change I'm planning this time is that F1gment has to get her own order of Zeppoli this time. She had ordered an apple dessert of some sort but liked my Zeppoli better and ate half of them  I, of course  was happy to share with my dear Mother, but this time I want them all to myself

Here I go, now you've got me checking out the Zeppoli dessert  ! I've also seen an appetizer that looked really yummy, some kind of cheese balls of some sort  .

Oh, they were good!
From the menu: Zeppole Di Catarina - Ricotta Cheese Fritters, served with whipped cream, chocolate sauce - $10.00
F1gment was sure she wouldn't like them because she doesn't like ricotta cheese, but they don't taste like that at all, more like little fried, really moist, donut holes.

I looked up what you are talking about ~ the arancini ~ those do sound tasty, but they say they have a meat ragu inside with the cheese...I wonder if they have a cheese only version? That sounds tastier to me.

Darn it, now I'm drooling

How can she not like ricotta cheese? It's almost neutral in flavor.

Hmmm, sounds like someone possibly had a bad experience with it. Kind of like how some people hate brussle sprouts becuase their parents boiled them to death and forced it down.

Most likely the consistancy, not taste. It is kind of "grainy".

Checked out the menu on Allears after I read your post, OMG they look & sound yummy :hatter_bounce: . I'm with you on the Arancini, I rarely eat meat, and to me it would maybe be better without :? .

Noted...note to self: add to packing list ~ teeny, tiny dagger.
