Here's a link to the thread where all the arrangements are being made. The very first post gets updated periodically as folks give us their information. We're probably due for an update soon... Mouseoholic gets back from Australia at the end of this week, so I'm hoping she'll try to get caught up sometime soon.cousininmiami wrote:I'd love to be part of the Mayhem! Re: Creative Disney Crafting
Since Mouseoholic has been in Australia, she wasn't here for our anniversary last week. So we have to wait to celebrate it.

But the good news is that she's due home this afternoon. As a surprise for her, I commissioned a custom cake from a coworker. It's red velvet cake with butter cream icing, and he made it all completely from scratch! This is the picture he took when he finished it, and right now it's waiting for her at home with 3 dozen roses where she'll see it when she walks in the door.

And she's gonna eat those cakes?!? They should be enshrined...like in a giant Mickey-shaped black shadow box or something...

Happy belated Anniversary!

Thank you! The guy who made them for me is one of my employees. I keep telling him he's in the wrong business.

Yes, the ears are edible, but they are what's called "gum paste" which is just basically hardened sugar with other ingredients. Most people wouldn't like the taste. But I don't plan on eating the ears. I'm going to vacuum-seal them in plastic and put them in the shadowbox, if she agrees.

Re: Creative Disney Crafting
Tye-die Mickey t-shirts ~ after having seen the doubleboilers' awesome t-shirts they made on their vacation, I went searching and found some really detailed instructions on making your own. F1gment and I love tye-die shirts but have never tried to make them. Here is a really good site that has instructions and pictures to show the finished products.

There was also one that used sharpie markers and rubbing alcohol that was interesting. Has anyone tried that?

Re: Creative Disney Crafting
By the way, folks... I'm still working on getting the lights for the Mickey shadow box. Didn't want y'all to think I forgot. Just have other priorities right now, such as planning all our mayhem for January...

Also, like I mentioned elsewhere in these threads, Mouseoholic has created some really cool gifts for all our fellow M.M's when we all get together in a few weeks, and I'll post a picture of what they are when the time comes... like mere minutes before we actually leave for the trip (buwahahahahahahahah....
 ).
