Re: WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!!!
definitely tell the kids.
Anticipation is the best part of the trip!
Although, we did "spring" it on our kids one morning on the way to school (we lived 60 min from the park) Once we were all in the van,
"open your lunch boxes and look inside"
Inside was a note telling them that instead of going to school today, they were going to the Magic Kingdom! Boy were they excited!

I would have loved to find that in my lunchbox when I was in school ~ heck, I'd love to find it in there now!Wyntuck wrote:definitely tell the kids.

Oh how exciting!!!!! I would tell your girls, let them enjoy the anticipation and excitment!
The new Mexican restaurant in Epcot is excellent, we dined there last Dec. with the Mouse Couple. Highly recommend it! I would also highly recommend the Flying Fish! We've dined there twice now and the food/service were out of this world!!!

Re: WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!!!
How exciting!!!
As for Character breakfasts - I have been to Cape May and it was the regular breakfast buffet, but still very good food and if you go earlier, it is easier to get more time with the characters. They made two rounds during our breakfast and Minnie even got down and started coloring with my nephew!
I will be going to Chef Mickey's next week, so I can report back how the quality of the food is at this time.
Otherwise, I would highly recommend the new Italian restaurant Via Napoli. The food there was EXCELLENT! A great family meal to share of salad and pizza. The atmosphere is great as well. It is quality food, but you still feel like you can take young ones there and it is accepted.
At AK - if you are looking for a good cup of coffee and pastry to start your day, definitely go to Kusafiri. That is how I always start my day at AK. Or, if you are looking for good quality quick service food that isn't a hamburger or chicken strips - go to the Yak and Yeti quick service food. Really good asian food to go and the portions are HUGE so it is definitely a splitting meal.
If your kids are anything like me - I would tell them in advance. Part of the fun of going to Disney World is the planning and getting excited for it! I still can't believe I'm going in 5 days.....!

Re: WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!!!
We've almost "blown it" a couple of times. Last night daughter #1, who is 17, expressed a desire to go to Disney World. We are diligently saving for a trip to Europe with her school in summer 2013. I jokingly told her we could cancel that, get most of the money back, and divert the money to a Disney trip for all of us. She stuck her lip out.Amy wrote:Cool ~ you guys are very good at secret keeping. We will see if you can manage to make it all the way to October though.
