Mid Atlantic/East Coast Blizzard of 2006

Yeah, schools got off today and the snow was light. A little over a foot. I'm amazed as to how some of the main roads by me were still slushy and not plowed this morning.

Got 14" - 16" here, but still went to work today. The trains were late but I took the earlier one to get in on time. The great thing about a snow blower and plow truck is the fact that it takes less time to do driveways and sidewalks.

My aunt visited NYC and her flight was delayed because of the snow. There was an article in Yahoo about a plane slipping on the runway, so everyone here in SoCal was hoping she'd get back here safely (which she did). But yeah, there was a humungous amount of snow - enough to set a record!

I wish we had a good Blizzard. Anything to cancel my lab session tommorrow. Its freezing here and you can see your breathe in the labs at the moment. I could think of so many better things to do with my time than freeze to death in a pointless lab session where we just make pretty colours and strange smells pretending that we actually understand whats causing them!
