I enjoying this live trip report. It almost feels like I'm right there at the parks with the boilers.
Isn't the gift shop in the lobby?

I agree, I like this "live" trip reporting. Maybe we need to try this more often?

Day 3 is starting off great.
B-babe awoke feeling great and went for an early run. She went about 61 minutes, and feels great! She is now relaxing on her balcony munching some cereal and sharing it with a little friend they've adopted:

....ahhhhhhh, total bliss!!! 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

......meanwhile, we find B-dude locked away in the can, battling the Revenge of the Jalapeno Margarita...!!

Thank you for volunteering your services M-dude! It truly feels like we are there with them...except, I'm not sure I would've wanted to be there this morning for B-dude's um...fireworks!

The revenge of the jalapeno 'rita has me reconsidering the idea for January....

I'm being true to the story I'm getting from them.... maybe I'm writing in my own creative style, but the events are entirely true.

So, after B-babe finished her breakfast, and B-dude regained his dignity... they decided to enjoy the beautiful weather by spending the morning in the pool. B-babe just now texted me to say that they're having fun, and even went down the "clown slide" (they're staying at the Boardwalk Villas). She's chilling at the moment while B-dude goes to get them some adult beverages.
I'm sure more mayhem will ensue shortly.... :D

MmeLeota, the Jalapeno 'ritas are harmless. I truly believe his bartender made a mistake. B-dude did say the guy looked rather disgruntled. I urged him to give it another chance, so maybe he will later...

Edit (30 minutes later):
by the way, there's no pictures of the "pool party." They're too modest for swimsuit pics...

Right now they're back at the room getting freshened up for Mayhem at MK later! More bulletins as events unfold....

Okay, time for another bulletin!

After a nice refreshing afternoon back at the room, they headed out to MK. B-babe was frustrated at how long it takes the buses to come to the resort, and then to get to the destination, but at long last.... ("aaaaawwwwwww"....*angels singing*.....) there it was!
Image

Soooooo.... can you guess what the first item on the agenda was..? You got it!! Head straight to here.....
Image

.....for a scrumptious, mind-blowingly-deliciously-righteous-rock-your-world Dole Whip!!!!!
Image

(Footnote: I'm sure B-babe did the famous "Boilerbabe's Dole Whip Dance", but she didn't send me any proof...     )

Okay, so having first satisfied their primal Dole Whip instincts, they next set out for some mayhem. One of the interesting stops on their tour was the new queue at the Haunted Mansion:
Image

After that, the next text I got was from B-babe telling me that B-dude had made her sick from spinning on the Teacups. I told her to make sure not to hurk up the Dole Whip...    Knowing how I share her "germophobia", she also sent me a pic of the "dish of disease" from the Teacups:
Image

Well, that's it for now, folks! Stay tuned for more Boiler Mayhem, brought to you by yours truly as they send me updates.... 8-)

 Yeah, it sounds scary!

Dang, b-babe looks really tan after all her vacations this summer. I'm starting to be a little envious  No Dole Whip Dance proof? So sad and disappointing :(

Ick ~ wheel of misfortune on the teacups indeed

I'm so looking forward to seeing the new Haunted Mansion queue :hm_ghost:

Alright, here's a few more highlights. Bear in mind that all I have is a few little tidbits from text messages, so this report is just the "Cliff's Notes" version. I'm sure they'll be able to elaborate much more when they get back. :D

So, where was I...? Oh yeah...
As they wandered MK looking for mayhem, B-babe noticed that the sign in front of CoP no longer has the year on it. Bummer. She also reports that even though they never got into a good position to view all the Fantasyland expansion stuff over the wall, they still could see the "big top" where Dumbo is going to be located. She mentioned, too, that the laser show on the castle for the "Let the Memories Begin" promo was way cool.

The only other major thing she reported to me was that they rode SM, but I didn't get any info as to how the new interactive queue affected them. Maybe later...

But anyway, after spending a nice evening at MK, they decided to head back so as to get a decent night's rest and get up early in order to make EMH at DHS in the morning. Now for those who know B-babe, that's a big deal! She's definitely not a morning person... in fact getting up early this morning to go running was a major accomplishment that could only be attributed to the magic of being at Disney (she admitted this to me herself, y'all...). But I digress... this is where the evening's adventure really started...

You see, B-babe hates waiting for the buses, and she had to wait a long time to catch this one back to their resort. So when it finally came she was already hacked off, and then they got stuck right next to this redneck family that had a totally out-of-control brat of a kid that must have been a cast-off from Satan's gene pool. The little puke screamed, cried, and carried on for almost the entire bus ride back to the Boardwalk! The Boilers' relief at finally arriving there was soon extinguished by the fact that Satan's Spawn got off the bus with them... and was actually staying there!!!!! They had to endure walking all the way into the building right in front of this inbred family, only to find that they were getting on the elevator with them as well!!! At this point, B-dude is about ready to bite a hole in the wall, and B-babe is just about to rupture her cerebral cortex, when..... you guessed it! The swine got off the elevator... ON..THEIR...SAME...FLOOR!!

Well, the pixie dust I sent them must have worked, because the tribe of "you'd-be-so-voted-off-the-island" misfits went the other way, and the Boilers were able to escape to their room relatively unscathed. I can't repeat to y'all the texts we sent back and forth regarding all the things we would like to have done to these miscreants (this is a family site, after all..), but suffice it to say that there was a lot of emotional venting. The worst part? The "dad" was wearing a Houston Astros hat!!! I so totally do not claim him! He must have stolen it from someone! Anyway, the evening ended with B-babe unwinding on her peaceful balcony, and B-dude promising me that he would give her a good massage so he could earn some "good husband" points, and then they would get some rest for tomorrow.

G'night y'all....

Y'know the old saying, "You can pick your friends, but you can't pick your family"? That also applies when you substitute "fellow hotel guests" with "family"...

Wow, that was a closely averted disaster with the family. Hopefully the poor little tyke was just having a meltdown and needed some rest.
I'm still wrapping my head around the fact that b-babe goes for an hour run in the morning before taking on all the walking in the parks for the day
Keep 'em comin' M-dude. How much longer are they down there?

Amy, they extended their stay one extra day... they'll be heading home on Tuesday. Okay, so on with the show....

Boiler Mayhem, day 4!!!

Our heroes were too tired this morning to actually do EMH at DHS as planned (understandable, given the c**p they had to endure last night...!), so they just got up when they felt like it, fed their little bird friend (see previous episodes...), and then “got there when they got there” this morning.

The first thing they did was get FP’s for RnR, and then head over to ToT. They noticed it was very crowded already at DHS with a bunch of freakin’ tour groups (grumble, grumble... stupid tour groups... ). Here’s a shot from the queue at ToT:
Image
She sent me a pretty cool text around that time: “The Double Boilers are in the Boiler Room!” I thought that was pretty groovy. 8-)

B-babe found some wicked-cool mouse ears at ToT... I’m sure that she’d volunteer to be a C.M. there if she could wear these puppies every day:
Image
:D

After that, they went back out to somewhere in the middle of the park to kick back and share a pretzel while doing some people watching. Here’s a shot from there:
Image

While enjoying some frozen Cokes in the awesomely beautiful weather, B-dude was inspired to start singing to B-babe. Apparently he was making up lyrics to some of the tunes from ToT... I told B-babe, “I like doing that too, Weird Al Yankovich style!” She thought it was funny.

After a while, they decided to go to Muppet Vision, and then to Star Tours, and then after that to head over to RnR to use their FP’s. That was the plan anyway... it turns out that when they got to RnR it was down for some kind of maintenance, with no idea as to when it would reopen!!! Huge disappointment!

The next thing I got from them (just now) was that they are now back at their room resting up and getting ready for their big “sweetheart dinner” at Flying Fish later tonight. I’ll post more if I get more... stay tuned, WDW fans! :D

That is a nice ceiling shot from the ToT ~ doubleboilers in the boiler room  That's a good one :D
Have they told you what the weather is like down there? It looks nice and sunny, and I'm guessing warm-ish?
Oh no, boilerdude was singing? And boilerbabe thought it was funny? I thought she wasn't a big fan of him singing in public
I'm curious to see what they think of the Flying Fish. That is one of the dining options for Dine with an Imagineer...
