I bet most of the crowds will go to MK or EPCOT, so maybe DAK would be good to try on Thanksgiving Day...Amy wrote:MmeLeota was kind enough to send me crowd estimates and it does look like MK is the park to avoid over the weekend and holiday. Maybe...I still need to check an EMH's schedule. I would guess you are right about MK and EPCOT though. We both really enjoy AK so that wouldn't be a bad choice!mindflipper wrote:I bet most of the crowds will go to MK or EPCOT, so maybe DAK would be good to try on Thanksgiving Day...Amy wrote:MmeLeota was kind enough to send me crowd estimates and it does look like MK is the park to avoid over the weekend and holiday. That or DHS, it was pretty dead during the holidays in 2008. Epcot actually might not be bad since it's more open than the other parks, unless you're dead-set on riding things.mindflipper wrote:I bet most of the crowds will go to MK or EPCOT, so maybe DAK would be good to try on Thanksgiving Day...Amy wrote:MmeLeota was kind enough to send me crowd estimates and it does look like MK is the park to avoid over the weekend and holiday. Here are two shirts I bought in anticipation of the upcoming trip. I found them at Walmart and was only sort of considering them until I saw that they glow in the dark! Sold! These photos were taken with a flashlight in the dark to sort of show the glow. They don't glow bright enough to photograph, but they give off a pretty cool glow
I wore the Animal one and got lots of compliments on it already

Yup ~ men's section. I'm thinking of checking the other Walmart store to see if they have any other Disney designs...Soarin08 wrote:Amy, love the shirts, especially the one with the aliens on it! Walmart, you say? Hmmm...

Heading to Walmart later for a t-shirt conquest! although it's always an adventure trying to find something in my Walmart, being that I live in North Havana, it's a challenge to find Anyone who speaks English!

Good news on the trip front, our flight had us flying back through Detroit, which is a horrible, awful airport. I got an itinerary change from Delta today and we are now flying back through Atlanta, which is a much better airport...I think....

I know that Atlanta is a bear to have to navigate through by automobile, but I don't remember ever having problems flying through there. And I know Mom was happy when our flight down was heading through Atlanta. Plus we have a small jet, like a 15 passenger or something like that, all the way from South Bend, Indiana to Atlanta so we won't be packed like sardines into a huge airlinermindflipper wrote:I have never had any problems flying through Hartsfield-Atlanta Airport...

Amy, I am so jealous that Michael W. Smith is gonna read while you are there! I grew up with his (Christian) music!
I really, really hope you can make it January, but I understand if you can't...but I think lots o' folks will think I'm awfully crazy talkin' to a pic-on-a-stick...
(even though y'all had to do that with us last time...
)
I LOVE those shirts!!! What's funny is, we were gonna buy both of them (until we remembered we have bills to pay
) but we definitly are looking to get them!
