Can you explain the Journey into imagination for me? because I've only seen a very poor quality half ride through of the ride so I only get a taste of what it's about. So did they revise the attraction and make it different and not as good or something?Amy wrote:Oh my goodness, you've never been able to experience Journey Into Imagination?! The good one or the bad one?! Oh, you simply must try to make it to the East coast. Hopefully by the time you come they will have fixed the attraction so it is good againSparten wrote:Considering I've Never been to WDW I would say Right in the front of the line for Rockin' Roller Coaster, Journey into Imagination ( to EXPERIENCE THE HORROR THAT I HEAR ON THE REQUESTS CHANNEL!) or Expedition Everest at night!![]()

If you search for the "original" ride, you might find a better video. It might be one of those attractions that you had to experience to remember fondly, sort of like World of Motion. But I have no doubt that the original Journey into Imagination was more creative with Dreamfinder and Figment.Sparten wrote:Can you explain the Journey into imagination for me? because I've only seen a very poor quality half ride through of the ride so I only get a taste of what it's about. Here is a really good web page that has the original script with some photos...http://waltdatedworld.bravepages.com/id37.htm
As I remember, and it was several years back, my favorite parts were the opening sequence which had Dreamfinder sucking up sounds, colors, ideas and anything that sparks the imagination. That section also had the Dreamfinder sharing his favorite figment. The other part of the attraction that I really enjoyed was in the middle and had Figment in an entirely white world with flowers. That part was the best because they had a beautiful flowery smell in there, sort of a rose-ish sort of smell.
There have been more incarnations through the years, at least two that I know of, but I think there might have been more. The first refurb removed Figment and added the Imagination Institute. It also added several sections of an upside down house that weren't very imaginative to me. The latest version added Figment back, and it is an improvement but there are still lots of the upside down rooms.
There is a whole upstairs part of the pavilion that is no longer used either which is sad

I've never had a Dole Whip. Can I continue now, is everyone done screaming?
I'm ready for my first, and I want it NOW
, while I enjoy the Adventureland atmosphere
. On the first day of my trip. Staying at the Poly. Where I have heard that I can have another Dole Whip after park hours if I need one. Considering I'm probably going to fall in love after my first taste, right?

Rice krispie treats don't do a thing for me, and a coke I can have anytime. I'm guessing you've had your share ofAmy wrote:But will it be your last?!mindflipper wrote:My first was not until this past December with the Mousekecouple and Amy.Sharonofwindham wrote:I've never had a Dole Whip. I'm pretty sure I will pass on any further Dole Whips...much rather have a rice krispie treat or a Coke
Dole Whips?

Nope, I've only had the one Dole Whip. I tried it last December with the rest of the Mayhem Marauders. F1gment and I shared it but didn't even finish the one. A little too sweet for me, but the rum was a nice additionSharonofwindham wrote:Rice krispie treats don't do a thing for me, and a coke I can have anytime. Dole Whips?I think F1gment might have had one in DL before, but I'm not certain...And yes, rice krispie treats and Cokes are special to Disney, but they taste better there

You might enjoy it, and it's worth trying at least once. Everyone else on here seems to be quite addicted to themSharonofwindham wrote:Everything tastes better at Disney, absolutely. If you say the dole whip is too sweet for you, it mat not be a favorite of mine either, but i'll still give it a try one day
. I've always enjoyed the orange/frozen yogurt swirl, tart & a little sweet. It's in Adventureland too. Probably why I haven't had the chance to try the dole whip, I always have to have the other each trip

They do have a Dole Whip swirl of some sort, I think it is the Dole Whip mixed with pineapple soft serve...maybe?
