I know ~ that AP is burning a hole in my pocket!! I only wish Southwest flew from here to Orlando

But I know you can get a replacement if necessary!

You can always try a "hacker" fare where you book flights on different airlines to get a better rate.

I've never heard of that ~ F1gment is usually in charge of airline tickets, I do tickets, rooms, and logistics...

I've never been before - always wanted to go, but wondered if it was a little too childish for my husband and I at 30 years old (with no children to bring)?? Not that I don't like childish - I prefer subtle scary fun over people chasing you with chainsaws (Universal Studios). But I just wonder if I should wait till I have my own children if it's geared specifically for children... any response would be great!!

Nope, it's not scary at all the whole time. The "scary" hours they were referring to was the time of the MNSSHP, which is 7pm-Midnight, I believe. It is geared towards children so many adults without kids would find it very cheesy. However, if you love Disney and the different decorations for the seasons, you would probably like it. You see a lot of good costumes as well. Take a chance on it, the parade is really good.
Thank you for your response!! That's exactly what I thought it would be like... and you described it perfectly!!
Thanks again...

There were folks of all ages (yes, even older folks in ECVs...) there having a great time! We saw many childless couples as well. We weren't intending on getting much candy (maybe enough to snack on

) but we ended up with so much...we just walked through a couple of candy lines.
The parade and fireworks were fabulous, but we loved seeing the costumes! So much creativity!!!
Good to know as well! I've never been to DL

... I've only been to WDW seeing as how I live an hour away - which is so great, but I feel like I'm missing out on some classic ride experiences. Matterhorn, Pinocchio and Alice in Wonderland!!! One day...

I know kayak now offers it as a normal option, prior to that you had to do a little extra work to figure out if it would be cheaper or not.

Oh...F1gment might be on to something at the moment...she found a $168 roundtrip (not including fees) Still looking....nah...she gave up looking
I wish airfares could just be a certain price. Decide what is fair and that is the price...sort of like what I wish they would do with car prices!

With airlines the ones who get the greatest savings on normal tickets are those that book crazy early or last minute.
With cars, no haggle pricing sounds good on paper but then you also can't talk them down if you think the price is too high.

The way we're going, it might be a last minute booking

As long as you're not picky about which resort you stay at, then last minute probably works well since WDW and DLR have massive numbers of rooms. Not sure if WDW has any benefit to booking last minute rooms though.

We're certainly not picky, but we do pretty much stay at the value resorts. And no, I don't think there is any benefit to last minute booking there. In fact, when we were there in December they were at capacity due to the Pop Warner camps and the holidays.

For those wondering MK is being decorated for Halloween. Merchandise appeared last week Wednesday and decorations started popping up By the monorail station in MK on Monday.

It seems so early! I know it really is only a few months ahead of time and it makes sense as the next holiday, but still

I asked and found out that Disney gets into Halloween mode right around labor day.

That's not too unusual really, I actually noticed that Target, WalMart and Walgreens locally here are already starting to break out the Halloween candy and decorations this week...
