True, I was just concerned. To me, SFT is a classic and one of my "must do's" when we visit WDW! It usually follows my DW!!! 8-)
Must do for me too! I'm always afraid for the originals that aren't "E ticket" attractions. Removing them to add rides like for example, "Aladdin's Magic carpets" (luckily nothing had to be sacrificed for that lame attraction, but I think it does take away from the atmosphere of Adventureland) would be so sad :( . Besides SFT is great exercise, and what a great view from the top :goofy_bounce: .

It went down for its planned rehab... nothing to worry about. There was an article in the Cast paper saying there are some planned improvements as well

Hey, not all improvements are bad, as we've recently seen with the Haunted Mansion...

Maybe it will be improvements in lighting (for when it gets darker) and some of the steps and hand rails.

They could also be adding a few special effects that tie in with the movie.

Yes, Amy, "improvements" worry me!

And hopefully they will do some lighting on the stairs...I've always thought about that when we visit the treehouse at night, how dark the stairs are and I'm shocked you don't hear about people falling!

Surprise! This one is going to tie into the lion king sequals (not the original). Don't thank us, you've earned it.

I agree with the lighting on the stairs. I was taking pictures and shivering when I was up there during the late EMH so I probably wasn't at my sharpest, but it was pretty hard seeing in some sections.

I don't imagine the "improvements" are major cash outflow items here, but I think if anything lighting would be more probable than adding special effects...
