The ones at home wouldn't taste quite the same. Sort of like rice krispie treats, while yummy at home, they are deliciously yummy at the parksmindflipper wrote:But if you give into a Dole Whip addiction, will it make the ones at WDW seem special anymore?

OMG, I don't know how I missed that? I was MIA for a long time, maybe that's it. Wouldn't I need a machine like Disney has to make this though?! I don't know how I would do that at home?!

It does sound like a commercial mix for a soft-serve machine, but I wonder if it would work in an ice cream maker too?boilerbabe wrote:OMG, I don't know how I missed that? It should work in a home mixer since it's the same mechanisim (blade scrapes a frozen drum) the only difference is that yours will not have that soft serve shape unless you buy a home soft serve dispenser (you put ice cream in and it turns it into soft serve). They were popular a few years back, so you might be able to pick one up for cheap on amazon.

Because it melts between getting it into the bag and whatnot.
Actually I need to correct that, I thought it didn't make ice cream but apparently the home soft serve dispenser is a full ice cream maker as well.

I'm well aware that it would melt, you would need to quick but where is your sense of adventure Wiz.Wizzard419 wrote:Because it melts between getting it into the bag and whatnot.

Mostly knowing that by the time you softened ice cream to a point that it would be pipeable is also about 20 seconds from melting kind of takes away from it.Sleepy90 wrote:I'm well aware that it would melt, you would need to quick but where is your sense of adventure Wiz.Wizzard419 wrote:Because it melts between getting it into the bag and whatnot.

I'm guessing b-babe could manage to eat it in 20 seconds! She would just have to do her Dole Whip dance fasterWizzard419 wrote:Mostly knowing that by the time you softened ice cream to a point that it would be pipeable is also about 20 seconds from melting kind of takes away from it.Sleepy90 wrote:I'm well aware that it would melt, you would need to quick but where is your sense of adventure Wiz.Wizzard419 wrote:Because it melts between getting it into the bag and whatnot.

I will subtley get B-dude to read this thread. I'm also master at dropping hints, but B-dude can be oblivious, so I usually have to spell things out for him!!!
I believe I could eat my DW in 20 seconds!
