DL Security really needs to check your pockets from now on whenever you go to the parks...  :mickey:
This just in, the Walt Disney World resort added bomb sniffing dogs to the security check-points today. The treehouse threat levels are at an orange-ish, reddish-y color today after at least one threat to the beloved landmark attraction was made today....stay tuned for more details as they come in....

They would go from yellow alert to red alert, but the security guards lost the red light bulb for the ALERT sign...

The air at the top of the treehouse is a bit thin ;)

The rumor *I* heard was that they were going to make SFT the new hangout for Zazu and Iago from the Tiki Room. That would go over pretty well, right?;)

Good try, but Iago now sleeps with the fishes after some water damage, so I can't imagine Zazu would be able to take to the great outdoors either...

I don't think every attraction should have to move or do something and I also don't think kids need to "connect" with every attraction, what about the big kids that remember that attraction. Not everyone minds climbing up stairs. I think some classics should be left alone.

LOL. With the amount of faux wood on that thing, I wouldn't want to be around if it burned down.

As a side note, my husband thought the Treehouse tree was real when we first went to wdw. I still think this is cute.

I work at the Treehouse and I dont even know what's going on during the refurb. Probably just fixing up some stairs that are worn and painting and tidying up some stuff. It''s weird that it will be closed for the 40th on October 1st being one of the original attractions BUT at least it's getting some TLC. Rumor is the Carpets are going down too for a paintjob as well
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

Cool ~ insider info...well, sort of :? ;) Do you suppose there is any chance they will try to hurry it along so it is open for the 40th?

I don't think so. Like I said I didn't find any of official info about what's happening at the Treehouse. It's more just speculation on what needs to be taken care having walked the Treehouse plenty of times either during opening procedures or tasking (sweeping the treehouse). Mindflipper, I gave an update on my situation in the College Program forum posting so check it out :)
