Anyone else see this on the AOL news feed today? You have to scroll down just a bit, but a house that Walt Disney had built in 1932 and lived in for 18 years according to the article is up for sale...only $3.65 million, but the one overhead shot of the property looks like it has a nice sized lot

I would imagine most of the stuff, other than the screening room, that disney added has been removed since. You can tell though that it's in the ghetto or middle of nowhere since a 12 room mansion selling that cheap is shocking. Houses in south OC sell for more and give far less.
It's probably like the "Home Alone House", they won't get their price and pretty much expect it to be sold sight unseen since they don't want tourists/fans to take a look.

I don't know about it being in the hood, but it looks like it's in a middle class sub-division.

That's what I was thinking ~ Walt actually lived there

Although I am sure Wizz is correct, there is probably very little that remains from when Walt occupied the home

Hmm everyone let's break open our piggy banks and bank accounts. We can pool our money together and have the Subsonic Radio World Headquarters there!
That is really cool and I thank you Any for starting the thread!

Alright, but after we pull together $42.25, how are you planning to finance the rest, Len90? After all, most of us are taking/paying for WDW trips in the next 6 months, so we don't have much left after that!

You must have a bit higher credit limit on your Disney Visa than I do

That was a good one b-babe

I do like Len's general idea. Then we wouldn't have to worry about accommodations when we headed out to DL!

That sure does look homely.

Though you do have to question that price tag..
