I heard rumors it was going to be changed to a Tarzan themed treehouse. I cannot site my sources, since I do not remember, but I did hear/read that somewhere.

Boilerbabe, Hi by the way, when is it going to be closed? We're heading down in Dec.

Hi Chernabog! It is supposed to be closed Thursday, September 08 - Thursday, November 17. So, it will be open when you visit in Dec. I hope you have a great trip!

I know there are mixed feelings on the SFT, but to me it's a classic and old Disney. I hope they leave it alone along with my CoP!!! There are many other attractions they could/change and give a face lift to before this one. I hope they don't do Tarzan, they have that at DL. I wish Disney would re-release SFR. I love that movie! When I was little, I wanted a treehouse like that! :D Thanks for the info. Wizzard!

And, I think you're right Amy, I could conceal my DW in the evening!!! Maybe I could take one of my big purses and take it up that way! :D

I didn't think the Tarzan make-over went down that well with Disneyland guests. I thought they would keep it as SFT - what if those unsubstantiated rumors of a remake of SFR do ever turn out to be real after all?

Actually, it's not a large enough space that if they took it out they could replace it with another attraction. If they did take it out, I would be more concerned they would replace it with another store/shop...

I think MK has enough shops/stores! Lets hope they just leave it alone! Maybe they could sell DW's up top!? Now I would like that!

I hope they don't change the theme. I was heartbroken when they changed SFT to Tarzan in DL. True, there are still some amazing views, but it's not the same.

I'm sure it ill just be a lengthy rehab to cover all the details...

Tarzan didn't really flop with the guests any more than the previous version since they are walking attractions. :D But I doubt they would do the overlay now since it is a 11 year old movie that is also another mostly dead franchise.

I would agree with that logic. To spend that kind of money on a franchise that's passed its money-making potential wouldn't make any sense...

I have to agree. I like the treehouse but most kids nowadays do not know about the stories and so they can't connect w/ it. Also, most days in wdw its just too freakin' hot to climb around on that thing!

Even though it's a classic, it's like a museum piece. There's got to be some kind of update for it.

Fire is a good update for it. :D

But yeah, the walk-through attractions are a favorite with the parks people since they don't require staff to run it and use very little space.

I don't know that there are enough combustibles included in the tree house to make your dream come true :(

If it won't burn on it's own you must bring your own supplies! I got some aluminum and iron oxide (also known as Thermite) and nothing can stop it.

That's how bad they are if I already know their weakness.
