So will Toy Story 3 consist of old DL and WDW souvenir toys that have been forgotten on the shelves of Disney collectors? :?:

I am very excited about what the potential for this partnership is. Jobs is a very creative businessman and I gladly welcome him on the board. I'm glad Pixar's 2 chiefs are going to be creative gurus for Disney as well. I do wish Disney had tried to beef up the already existing animation department instead of giving up so fast, but at least we now get back to some of Walt's ideals of quality stories and family entertainment!

I am thrilled that John Lasseter will be in charge of animation. Not the least of all, but I heard an interview with him a few years ago, and he is a fan and supporter of 2-D animation. He said something along the lines of that 3-d animation was good for some subjects (like Toy Story), and 2-D animation was good for others (he spoke about the graphic design of Mulan, which could not have been done in 3-d).

This is exciting news. I hope it brings new life to Disney. I heard on the radio though that the deal won't be finalized until summer?

It's a "Great, Big Beautiful Tomorrow!" Finally the Disney/Pixar ordeal is over and with a happy ending. It's very interesting how Eisner left and Iger steps right in and gets the Pixar deal done. Life is good!

Wow, I'm not sure what to think. I kind of liked Pixar as its own entity, but I'm sure Disney won't screw it up...

I was watching CNN this morning and they had a chart of the past Pixar/Disney Movies and the lowest box office total was in the upper 300 millions, Finding Nemo was over 800 Million

Here is the chart

And just think, about 20 dollars out of all those millions was my contribution to the success of these movies. :) And I never got a single thankyou.

I had that fear as well but Steve Jobs is there on the board so I think he'll keep things in order, so to speak

Not to mention that John Lasseter reports directly to Bob Iger. He will look after the "Pixar Culture" I am sure.

And lets not forget that Lasseter will have some design say in the attractions, which should be sweet.

I guess only time will tell how Jobs will affect Disney. He should help them move in some technical areas. I guess time will tell. DISNEY IPODS FOR ALL!!!!
