WDW 35th and Epcot 25th Rumors

Post by rdeacon » Jan Mon 23, 2006 12:07 pm

Ok this year is WDW 35th anniversary, and Epcot's 25th next year :D

How times files...

Lets start posting rumors of what we hear Disney is going to rehab for the big celebration.

This way we can see what was a true, and what was just a big fat lie..

Here's the first i've heard:

They will rehab the El Rio Del Tiempo, "The River of Time" boat ride in Mexico to include the 3 Caballeros.

Fire up that rumor mill and let the bs fly!

Purely a rumor  Nemo will join Crush at the Living Seas, and there will be a new movie for Soarin.

I heard this one about a year ago, while I can't confirm it, I think it would make the ride better

I'm kinda bummed about that rumor. I love the song. Sticks in my head all day, but it's chipper and cheerful. LOL!

I like the song too, I'm just hoping maybe they'll put the three Caballeros in the current ride (maybe as narrators?)

Horray! Sorry to anyone out there who like them, but those movies were the only things i ever disliked at Disney. My dad used to keep taking me when i was little. They were soooooo boring, I fell asleep most times!
Any change has got to be an improvement!!!!!!!

I saw the Canada movie once, and couldn't wait for it to be over. The only reason I like the Impressions de France is for the music, if they change the movie they better keep the same music!

I am so glad you agree with me over the annoying movies. I wondered if it was just something i didn't get as the rest of my family loves them for some strange reason!

I would LOVE updated films throughout, and frankly that is ALL due to childhood memories of falling asleep while in the China film....My kids are 12 & 10, and I won't even put them through those films....

I would defnitely like updated videos of Canada and France. But I LOVE the songs in the Canada film so if they were to change the video but KEEP the song, that would be awesome.

France is pretty timeless and the music is great - besides that they can still pack them in [the it-ain't-broke-so-why-fix-it theory]. Canada is getting outdated in a lot of city scenes - it is showing its age... China kept some of the best parts and updated the rest, something like that for Canada would be great.

I don't know how much they'd do to El Rio, hopefully not much. It is a fun little ride and the little to no wait aspect is great.

New movie for Soarin would be great. How about something for WoL, any word on that?

My grandparents went down over the summer (April? May? June?) and they told me they saw a huge crane behind Wonders of Life, and as usual it was closed. I've also heard rumors that a whole new pavillion is on the drawing board.

I always saw those movies as a nice break from the heat in a nicely air conditioned room.. the movies were just a bonus! :)
