It's cool seeing some of the old Disney park items. It was also fun spotting items in the pictures and thinking, "Hey, I got that too!".

I really liked the pictures too! I'm feeling a twinge of inspiration brewing to get to work on my Mickey shadow box project. I get frustrated every time I see it just sitting there. Maybe after this month all the drama in our lives will subside a little and I can get back to work on it. Send me some pixie dust, guys.... :(

Wish I could, M-dude, but 2011 has also been a bad year for the Mindflipper family and we've consumed all the pixie dust we have for this year. Wish it could be 2012 just so that 2011 could be officially over... :(

Nice progress so far cousininmiami! Where did you find that cute model of the Haunted Mansion? That is great! That is nice that you have that shadowbox of more antique-y memorabilia :D And your husband did quite a nice job building your shelves for your toys...I mean action figures ;)
Awww, M-dude, sorry to hear things are still not going swimmingly for the Mousekecouple yet. Consider some pixie dust sprinkled down on y'all in Texas-way from up here in Michigan. I'll try to throw it a little to the West ;) And with any luck, some will float on over to the East and sprinkle mindflipper and his family too!

The Haunted Mansion model belongs to the toy monorail collection. They have all kinds of attraction accessories to go with the monorails, from the Contemporary resort to Spaceship Earth.

Thanks for the pixie dust too. It seems that quite a few of us this year - Mousekecouple, the boilers, etc. - seem to be needing pixie dust than the year before...

I had never seen the Haunted Mansion For the Monorail set. I have the Contemporary and Spaceship Earth for mine. I put it up around the Christmas tree.

That is way more fun than a train for the Christmas tree!

I have both DLR and WDW versions of the HM for the monorail toys.

I have enjoyed it for years. I have 2 monorail trains that run. Its funny one always runs faster and catches up with the other one. I have tried new batteries at the same time, It never works. We have to cut the tree up a bit higher because the monorail sits up higher than the typical train.

Wow! The room looks great! (even if you are covering up a great looking baseball border ;) ) Someday I'd like to get our Disney stuff put together like that...the problem is a:) space and b:) everything is spread out everywhere in unknown locations :?

We have the monorail set as well...when we actually put up a Christmas tree (all Disney ornaments, of course), we did the same as jacobcary.

Pixie dust to the Mousekecouple, the boilers and to the mindflipper family and the NaCler family too...and anyone else who needs it! :D 2011 has truly been a crappy year...

Thanks to all for the Pixie Dust. Yes, 2011 has been a really crappy year. For us, it all started when my dad passed away in February, and it seems like ever since then the "fit" hasn't stopped hitting the "shan." But we're hopeful that things will level off a little after this month. We got a sign of good things to come last night: we got a refund from the IRS that we were totally not expecting! We're talking hundreds of dollars that they apparently overcharged us! Who would've ever expected that?! So maybe another trip to The World might be in the works...
