Re: Jungle Cruise at night
did this...although it was more dusk than night...and I got video of the back side of water
once I get back from my impromptu work trip to Texas I will get everything uploaded
FWIW...Jungle Cruise was much better at night...I guess it was just prettier and a lot of the flaws due to age or 70s technology are hidden in the dark. I'll definitely try to make it a tradition to ride at night.

You captured the backside of water on video?! Cool! I think you are right, the charm of the Jungle Cruise increases when you can't see the technology, or lack thereof, quite as clearly in the later hourstheBIGyowski wrote:did this...although it was more dusk than night...and I got video of the back side of water

I had to admit I like it better at night than day, too. I've never really thought of the reason why, but to me that does make sense: the night hides the flaws...theBIGyowski wrote:Jungle Cruise was much better at night...I guess it was just prettier and a lot of the flaws due to age or 70s technology are hidden in the dark. I've done the cruise at night once and I have to say it was a little creepy for me. I have this thing about "dark water" - I guess its scarier b/c I don't know what's down there.....even at disneyworld

We really need to try this. In all the years we have been to WDW this has never crossed our minds.

The reason they had to use mechanical alligator and mechanical hippos is that the real alligators and real hippos refused the job due to poor water quality...disneylizzy wrote:LOL guys, I know! Re: Jungle Cruise at night
Every time that we go to Disney, we always ride at night. It is awesome! The guides are always funnier and the darkness makes everything looks much more "real" (but you can still see). I highly recommend it!

Re: Jungle Cruise at night
Ever done splash mountain at night ? We saw the parade going through frontierland and it just brings out the best in the ride, i love it! It's true that most things at disney are better at night

Isn't it just the best?! We've seen the parade from there before as well. Great time to ride, magicaljenko wrote:Ever done splash mountain at night ? I can't get to YouTube here at work...but I uploaded my video of the "backside of water" at dusk. Maybe this link will work...
