I love when you just start walking into Epcot, with the music and the giant Spaceship Earth... man... that just makes me happy thinking about it.

At least you know exactly how long it will be before you can see it in personSoarin08 wrote:Don't even get that picture in my head, I'll cry!figmentaholic wrote:I love when you just start walking into Epcot, with the music and the giant Spaceship Earth... man... that just makes me happy thinking about it.

Thanks mindflipper. Don't let too many people know, but I was the 1,000th happy haunt for many months. I finally found a way to escape but who knows if the ghost host will find me again. It was all Len's fault!

I have a few more favorite areas in WDW:
Epcot: I love the entrance to restaurant Marrakesh. It is so quiet and the architecture makes you feel like you are in Morocco.
Hollywood Studios: I love the layout of Sunset Blvd!
AK: Anywhere along the Kilimanjaro Safari.

Main Street Train Station, upper level balcony overlooking the Town Square area. Grab a seat and just sit back watching the world go by...
Re: Best Areas in WDW (based on ambiance)
In Magic Kingdom Main Street area, there is a "side street" in between the Arribas Bros. Crystal Arts and the Shadow Box. If you sit there for any length of time you can hear first a piano lesson and then a vocal lesson occuring (complete with mistakes) from the "2nd floor" of the building. This in addition to the band music and it does feel like you have been transported to a much simpler time.
I was also impressed with ToT, the sound, look and feel of the hotel really does make it seem like time just stopped on that fateful night. PoTC in both WDW and DL can't be beat (and add to that the view of people embarking on the PoTC ride through the bayou from the Blue Bayou restaurant in DL). Liberty Square right before any nightime parade or firework is also magical with the twinkling "fireflies" that light up the trees (just make me wish for summertime when I was a child).
In EPCOT, I love the French Pavilion at night. Sitting near the water fountain, eating a croissant with a glass of wine...beautiful.
Resorts: AKL or WL during the day. AKL at any lookout point the animals are pretty active during the day definately doesn't feel like you are in Florida there! As for WL, I always expect to go out back and see a moutainscape and waterfalls in the back.
This list goes on and on (heck I guess most of the Disney theme parks and hotels would end up on it eventually).

I don't know if I had ever noticed the fountain in the French Pavilion before this last trip. It truly is magical at night! I'm glad I snapped a few photos of it the first night we were there because the last night we were at EPCOT, the fountain was turned off due to the freezing temperaturesreiki1 wrote:...In EPCOT, I love the French Pavilion at night. I know exactly what you are talking about with the little side street on Main St. It is really scary how in just a few feet you can go from the throngs of people to a place of perfect ambience.

But seriously, as far as atmosphere ambiance goes, we like sitting in the lobby of the GF listening to the piano.
