Movies, TV, music, and more. Here's the place to talk about anything Disney outside of the parks.

Come on we have standards here!!!
I actually found out that if you book a trip before the rate hikes that started after June 12th your tickets would be on the old rates. I was looking into it and it appears that the largest hikes were aimed at the longer time frame. I believe a 7 day pass went up $30 and the park hopper would be an extra buck.

I don't think they can legally change the price since it's a contract that you and they agreed to. Same with Amazon, if you pre-order something and it goes up you pay the original price, if it goes down you get the money back.

Exactly my point. If you are thinking about going you can always reserve a larger block with a full length of stay ticket and then cut it down to your exact dates when you are certain. The worst thing that can happen is you will need to get your deposit refunded if you can't go. Just make sure that you are set before final payment date.

Prices for what? I don't recall officially announcing any vacations on the board for this summer yet

I figured you would book the vacation BEFORE you announced, so the announcement would follow after you have finalized ALL your plans and bookings...
...so it is possible you could have already partially started by making some reservations...

Only if you're getting in on the CM's Main Entrance Pass, because they have to scan our IDs along with it. The complimentary tickets we receive, we print them off the employee site and give them to whoever we want.
LOL, things have changed - when I did got in, she showed them her badge and we had to manually sign our names on sheet in a clipboard!

WOW! So can't see them doing that now... with everything so electronic...
Found out the prices are only going up by $4 and as a friend of mine pointed out, that really isn't enough to make people say they can't go anymore. I mean, $4 isn't exactly a huge amount...
Does this mean parking will go up too?

I wish I could say it surprised me, but it doesn't. But let's face it, that wont make us stop going it will just make us tighten our belts a little more before we go, or perhaps get a few less souvenirs while there.
