I am not so fond of the preparing and packing. I more enjoy the arriving at the destination! A whole new wardrobe? Really? We look back at photos of past vacations and my friends and I marvel at how many of the same clothes and coats and things we still own. That won't be the case one of these days ~ they just don't make 'em like they used to anymore 
New summer dresses. I'm NOT wearing jeans in the parks and I don't like shorts. So I go with dresses. Granted I got them all at TJ Maxx and Ross so I really didn't spend a lot but still... As for buying all new things for vacation, if anything, I buy a shirt at Disney

All I'm lacking is it being time to drag the big grey suitcase out of the closet and get to packing it!
