I loooooove to park hop. I'm tired at the end of the day anyhow, so I would rather see and do as much as I can in as many parks as I can! Don't you feel a little cheated when Animal Kingdom closes so early? Or do you use that time to go have a nice meal, or go shopping at DTD?
We know for a fact that one day we are going to go to Animal Kingdom until about 2:00 PM and then we're hopping over to EPCOT to meet some friends and spend the evening there.

Yeah, I remember reading about that. That was so terribly sad. So I guess it must have been February of 2009 that I had my last ride.

I wonder if they will ever start it again? I hate to say it, but I would be surprised if they ever did.
I seriously doubt that we will ever see front cab riding since accident taught us that the front cones are the crumple zones in the event of an accident. I was lucky enough to ride the front of the monorail the year before it happened on two occasions. Once during the day and once during the night. Both were unique experiences that I will never forget. That day was one of the most somber days in Disney world.

I've always scheduled our dinners to incorporate a park hop on most days so we can enjoy the different Disney transport options.

We usually split the day between 2 parks especially if it is a short trip. We always plan the park based on where we do dinner, (either in the park or a nearby resort) and we usually plan our dinners based on the extra magic hours

Unfortunately, I think that you are right. I don't think that they will ever do it again. Too much liability. It is a real shame. I am glad that I was able to do it at least once in my life. And now I will treasure that little monorail driver card they game me. (even if it wasn't signed, hehe)

You really did get a nice view from the front cab! I was lucky enough to ride in the front several times at WDW and at least once in DL. I never got a driver's card though :( Maybe I failed the training by not paying attention to where we were going by taking too many photos!!

Thats a shame. I felt like a VIP riding in the front. It made me want to spend more money when I got to the park on eating at a better restaurant. I felt like I owned the park after riding in the cab.Let alone the view.

We always add the hopper to our tickets. We don't use them every day, but, when we want to hop, we are glad we have them.

Yeah, same here. We have a good friend who is a travel agent (if anyone ever needs a travel agent that can get good Disney deals, I can give you his name and number) and he designs our packages every year. And we always get the park hopper, we use it enough that it is WAY worth it.

I've hopped for just food or just a show. Sometimes I'll do DAK in the morning and when they kick me out at closing I'll head over to Epcot for dinner and Illuminations :mickey: !
