Little Mermaid Preview!

Post by disneylizzy » Jun Fri 03, 2011 10:15 am

The Little Mermaid ride just opened at the California Adventure. Rumor has it that the addition to Fantasyland will be similar to this ride. Looks like it is going to be pretty cool!

I know! I read it today and got really excited.

They are not as exciting as the thrill rides, but for me a lot of the charm of Disneyworld will always be in these types of "dark ride" attractions so I am glad to see this one come in. Especially since they will be shutting down Snow White.

Yeah I was starting to get a little worried they were going to start getting away from the themed rides and make thrill the focus. But this is a good sign...a very good sign. My favorite attractions have always been the dark rides...Peter Pan's Flight, Horizons, World of Motion, Mr. Toad etc.

Before you pop the cork on the champagne bottle to celebrate, you may want to read some fellow members reviews of the TLM over at DCM:

Given this is TLM, maybe your threat should more fit the theme better: "... or I will drown one fish in water every hour until you do." :ariel:

Wouldn't it be "air drown one fish every hour"?

It was meant to be ironic in that fish don't drown in water, but how many people would at first stop to think and realize that?

We could always put salt-water fish in fresh water... they don't technically drown, but the results are similar.

When you lower your expectations for WDW TLM all the way down, then when you see WDW TLM - no matter how bad it is - then hopefully it's better than your worst expectations and you will be gratefully pleased...

So if you expect to be punched in the junk for 10 mins straight, you will be delighted by what you really get.
