I love the ride music from Disneyland's Fantasyland (but not the ride through versions, cause you get mostly background noise and not the music an voices of the characters). Like Alice, Snow White, Pinocchio, Mr. Toad, the Carosel music. And I like compilation versions of POTC, Haunted Mansion. I also like the Main Street music. I could make a longer list of the stuff I don't like (Spaceship Earth, etc.)
but I won't, ha ha ha.
To sum it all up...............
I LOVE SUBSONIC RADIO!

I love everything at WDW (at least what was there the last time I visited in 2002). everything with the exception of iasw, because of that song...

Please don't get me wrong, I do like a lot of the WDW stuff.spaulo wrote:that's funny, bostoncg... I LOVE the Jeremy Irons narration of Spaceship Earth. But then I'm one of those nuts that counts it among my favorite WDW rides. Like Maelstrom. No one has much love for Maelstrom, either.
I think it's mostly because I have no memories to attach it to when I hear them. I have only been to WDW twice in my lifetime so I can't relate to many of those tracks. I do remember riding the Maelstrom (thought it was kinda cheesy but fun), I haven't paid much attention to when it is played on here. I'll have to listen for it

I tend to sway more towards the DL stuff (since I grew up in So. Cal it's my park and my memories), even though I love the music from AK and I have never been there

Since I listen at work, some of the narrations (tend to make me listen to them and not pay attention to the task at hand on my desk), the drums (World Showcase Japan) make me go nuts at work, and Figment, well, lets just say it's like fingernails on a chalkboard to me

Is there a link in the forum that says why people request what they do, like does it have a special meaning, was it a ride you loved, etc>? I will have to search the forums I think it would be interesting to know why people pick certain things. I do the Dark Rides cause they are fond memories from my childhood....sorry off topic....
I tend to play AK Area, Reflection on the Pond and Celestial Soda Pop, that kind of stuff cause it's easier (relaxing) to listen to at the office and I don't have the boss saying "WHAT IS THAT??" ha ha ha (his office is adjacent to mine) so he hears everything that goes on in my office

Maybe I need to get down to WDW since I live on the East Coast now, so I can build some memories and relate more towards a lot of those tracks. I like 99% of what is on here, there are just a few that I turn down the volume on

I'd like to second this request. I've got a friend who's an American history buff, but somehow has not been able to separate the post-Walt Disney company from Walt the Man's work and influence on society.js3901 wrote:hall of presidents is on the list to be added.
I found the HoP script online once (the one before Maya Angelou's America-Is-All-About-Slavery script) and he thought it was great. It would be nice to be able to play the audio for him.
I know he's going to enjoy Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, once I can get him to figure out how to play it.
I wish I could get him to settle down and watch the old Davy Crockett shows, (featuring drinking, gambling, womanizing, war, terrorism, politics, etc.) and show him that not all Disney entertainment is sanitized dreck.
On the surface there is hunger and fear. Men still exercise unjust laws. They fight, tear one another to pieces. A mere few feet beneath the waves their reign ceases, their evil drowns. Here on the ocean floor is the only independence.

Area Music selections are always my favorite -- generally that is. Just not for too long unless I realy like the track.

I love listening to the area music best. Its the sort of music you dont really notice at the time, but listening to it now it really reminds me of some great holidays. Also while the music from the rides and shows are good, i have a lot of that on CD. This is the best place to listen to a variety of area music.
Having said that its nice having a mixture and being able to listen to music from the shows and rides as well, though it does give you withdrawal symptoms and makes you want to go back even sooner!
