New fan site for WDW!
Hello fellow subsonic listeners! I wanted to post to let you know about a new site I am in the process of finishing (first stage). It is called InteractiveWDW and is located at this link : http://www.interactiveWDW.com. It is dedicated toward providing information on WDW (including descriptions of the attractions at the parks, and getting into more of the historical aspects of the parks and attractions in the coming phases of the content). I aim to make it a great resource for people who have never been to WDW before, as well as those who have been to WDW quite often, but never experienced a certain attraction, or just wanted to re-experience it. I am trying to include youtube videos of the attractions (if allowed by the owner of the video, as I prefer to get owner permission for the videos I use). I eventually plan on branching out on the park and attraction pages as well, to include ride scripts, photos, more in depth information, show/parade times (similar to wdwent.com), park hours and current refurb calendars, etc. I aim to make this a one stop resource. The web is full of GREAT resources for various aspects relating to WDW, however, I don't know of many (or any) that include everything in one site. Anything you can think of dealing with WDW, I want to eventually include it in my site. I would love to have the great people here at subsonic's site browse on over to my site to check it out and critique it (keeping in mind it is nowhere near completion, as it is still finishing phase 1), however all comments are welcome! Also, if you visit my site, please feel free to register and leave comments, either on the pages, or in the forums (they all connect to one another anyway, so if it is a comment about site specific things, I would prefer the forum. If it is attraction or park specific, such as "I love this ride" or something, feel free to leave a comment on that attraction's page). Hopefully, you will feel the site is and will be worthy of a bookmark on your browser and even worthy of your time for regular visits! Thank you so much everyone! I'm really looking forward to your comments (which you can leave here as well)! The site can also be followed on Facebook and twitter with the interactiveWDW username!

To Moderators: I have been in contact with subsonic and rdeacon in the past weeks/ months and have mentioned posting about my site. I do not recall ever receiving a negative response to that, but if this post is not welcome, please by all means, remove the thread. Thanks and sorry for any inconvenience!

Re: New fan site for WDW!
I poked around your site for a bit and I love the way it's coming along!
All I have to say is great job! I'd love to run my own website full of all things Disney, but I am nowhere near skilled enough to keep one up nor do I have the time!
I am definitely going to register and bookmark it!

Very impressive, keep up the good work.
Re: New fan site for WDW!
Thank you all SO much. It is great to hear that kind of response for something I have been working on since before the new year. Obviously it takes A LONG TIME (seemingly never ending, yet fun) to put the type of site I am aiming for together, especially when it is just myself! I really appreciate the kind words so far and hope to hear more (good, bad, or indifferent) comments from the great people here!
You'd be surprised how much skill is needed (or not) depending on what type of site you want to build. I graduated with a BS in Computer Information Systems, but we were exposed to so many languages, that we are beginners in them, not experts, so I don't have a whole lot of knowledge either. Nowadays, there are so many things that are automated and/or so many resources on the net that if you want it bad enough, you can get it! I know you said you don't have the time, but the very bottom post on the homepage (which was also the first post for the site ever), I am looking for some help for the site. Judging by your post, you are not very technical, but how about writing content? Are you pretty knowledgeable about the attractions, parades, etc at the World? If you're interested, please let me know!Cub wrote:I poked around your site for a bit and I love the way it's coming along!

Good luck! It's exciting to start up your own site, especially when it is about something you love. If you want to work together, let me know! I'm looking for help, and if you need it, perhaps I can offer assistance back to you! Thanks for your comment!cousininmiami wrote:I just looked at it, great job and keep up the hard work! Thank you very much! I hope you find it enjoyable (especially with what little is done...lots more (exciting things) to come!Amy wrote:It looks pretty good - I'm on my phone at lunch so I look forward to perusing the site a little closer on a bigger screen later!
Thank you for your comment! I have noticed the layout of some (or most) of the content is a bit tight is some areas. I am still getting to know Wordpress, so hopefully when the next round of revisions is started on the content, this will be something that is addressed.yodiwan1 wrote:looks great so far! some links are very close together, so you may want to space them out..if you need any pics let me know, have over 10,000 ive taken over the past 10 years, lol
As far as pictures, I am ALWAYS looking for help with them. I know it would require a lot of time and effort on your end, but if you would like to go through the site, at your leisure, and look through your collection, and anything you might have that is better or more appropriate than what I currently have, I would love to have access to them (crediting you of course)! I'm not attached to any pictures I have, so if you'd like to give some suggestions, please do so!!!!
Thanks for all the comments so far!

I just found out that over the weekend I will require a lot of bed rest...this is great for you, so now I will have plenty of time to look through my pics! Also, are you going to do anything on DTD, Hotels, and Eateries? I love how you actually give your opinion on the attractions. Nice personal touch!

This appears to be a very informative site.
Re: New fan site for WDW!
I'm sorry to hear that! And yes, as soon as the parks (including waterparks) are done and have gone through some revision phases, I plan on branching out to DTD and resort hotels. Also, I plan on expanding on the restaurant choices in the parks and DTD after.yodiwan1 wrote:I just found out that over the weekend I will require a lot of bed rest...this is great for you, so now I will have plenty of time to look through my pics! Thanks for your comment on me giving my opinions on the attractions. I figured if a first timer or even someone who is not so wise to the "World" is visiting the attraction pages to get an idea of what the attraction is, they would also be interested in an opinion (or who knows, maybe two or three once more people start following the site)! We always welcome comments on the site pages by leaving a comment at the bottom!
If you just want to pick out your favorite pictures you have for the parks, lands, and attractions/ parades, that might be easier than comparing and what not! Thanks again!
Thank you very much! A lot of hard work and long hours have gone into the site already and it is nowhere near completion! Hope you stick around and maybe even register with the site! As always, please feel free to comment on the site and/or use the forums there!jacobcary1 wrote:This appears to be a very informative site.

Re: New fan site for WDW!
I just registered! The site looks pretty cool! Unfortunately I don't have time to peruse it too much right now, but I look forward to checking it out and giving you some feedback!

Thank you so much! Thanks for registering, and hopefully you find the site useful and will stick around to help with the build by letting us know what you would like to see added, changed, removed, etc!MmeLeota wrote:I just registered!
