Favorite Moment in Each Park
We have our favorite places and favorite attractions...
But what is your FAVORITE MOMENT in each park?
MK: Mickey telling everyone goodnight (kiss goodnight) at the end of the day
EP: Narrator blowing out the torches at the beginning of Illuminations
HS: When it is dark enough for the eerie lights to come on for ToT
AK: Every time the train with guests comes out of Expedition Everest for the big drop and you hear them screaming
There are many more...but those are the ones that give me chills every time.

MK: I always enjoyed the 4 guys on 1 bike singing ( tomorrow tomorrow we'll see ya tomorrow it's only a day away)and Back when they had the metal rental strollers. The bridge to Adventureland you would think this used to cause small children to have brain damage. I used to just laugh because the sound was so loud.
EP : I always enjoyed the Laser's in the night time show as they would introduce the countries. I want to say It's Reflections of Earth.
HS: I used to love the soundstage show. I'm not sure if its even still there.
AK: Love the Lion King Show. Now they have Expedition Everest which I have yet to ride.
There are so many, I will have to just chime in when it hits me.

Re: Favorite Moment in Each Park
There are many but I would have to say for my favorite it would be the same for all four parks. The moment I get through the turnstile for the first time on my trip. After that there are so many but the moment I get into to a park and realize I am actually there is bee knees for me!

Re: Favorite Moment in Each Park
ok..moments....not fa. attractions....I like this idea!!!
MK I have a tie...1 is the first taste of my Dole Whip, the second is when the music starts for Wishes! I get goose bumps everywhere!
EP: Gosh there are so many!! Right now, and I know I'm gonna get ripped for this...but it's the opening of Captain EO...When EO is not there it's standing underneath Spaceship Earth, letting the breeze hit me, and knowing...I am home.
HS: Sicne I am both Disney and Star Wars Geek, It is when I strap into Star Tours and imagine myself in the cockpit of an x-wing fighter!
AK: It changes every time, Whenever I see an animal on Kkillajaro Safari the is difficult to see like the lion, or cheetah, or when a giraffe sticks its head in the truck, or the Hippos are fighting...you know those "Wow" moments.

MK: Stepping out from under the train station and onto Main Street. I cry every time.
EP: hmmm this one is hard. I think it is the blowing out of the torches.
DS: Being in the queue for Tower of Terror
AK: I love giraffes so I would have to say that part of the safari would be my favorite moment.
Good topic!

seriously...when the narrator blows out the torches before Illuminations...that has to be the coolest moment in any Disney Park for me...it's just so cool!

1. When Sorcerer Mickey has fireworks coming out of his fingers at the beginning of Fantasmic at the top!
2. Blowing out the torches before Illuminations
3. When the lights go out at Magic Kingdom and the music starts for Electric Light Parade
4. When the curtains become butterflies in A bugs Life
These are mine!

MK: Night entertainment. I just love how perfect you feel during the electric parade (either Spectro or MSEP) and Wishes fireworks. To me it is a defining moment that says you are in Disney.
EPCOT: Walking around in the Innoventions area as it is my favorite Disney background music.
DHS: Sitting in my ride vehicle waiting to beat my entire family on Toy Story Midway Mania.
AK: Boarding your vehicle for Kilamanjaro Safaris.

Re: Favorite Moment in Each Park
Hello Everybody! I am new to the forum and thought that is a great topic on which to make my first post.
MK: The first ride we usually make dsh for is Splash Mountain...so when I hear the vultures say "Laughing place? We'll show you a laughing place", right as you begin the climb of the final hill in Splash Mountain. I know I have arrived.
EP: Fisrt hearing Jeremy Irons voice on Space Mountain.
HS: Launching at the beginning of Rock and Roller Coaster.
AK: The first ride on Kali River Rapids...we usually go 3 times in a row so we are soaked.
Thanks everyone! I look forward to talking to you more in the near future.

In Epcot, are you thinking of Jeremy Irons in Spaceship Earth? If so, you may be disappointed by the newest incarnation with Dame Dench

Second, WHAT!!! I hadn't heard that yet. Judy Dench is ok, but Irons had the most soothing voice ever. I am truly saddened to hear this. Do you know when they made the change? I was there in April of 2010 and it was still Irons, unless I am mistaken.

Re: Favorite Moment in Each Park
they made the switch to Dench in December of 2007...so unless you skipped SSE on your last trip she is who you heard
The new version isn't bad because of her voice...it's because the script is so juvenile that it almost ruins the attraction's purpose.

Yup, the script is entirely the problem ~ I do hope they change it soon!theBIGyowski wrote:they made the switch to Dench in December of 2007...so unless you skipped SSE on your last trip she is who you heard

And no worries FrankieC79, I'm sure no one noticed the typo
