Last time I went (January 2010) they a CM asking people if they had their passes. If so (which was my case) I just had it checked by another CM so they could direct me to the correct line. If not, you were directed up to the counter.
I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a bus. Used the service four times. Lucky I guess.

Re: Question about Disney's Magical Express
That's my thought. If the ME bus was in poor shape, or uncomfortable, I might consider taking a cab but the bus is a nice motor coach, has Disney promotional videos airing, Disney music, is air conditioned, and drops you and your luggage right at your hotel check-in, and then back at your airline check-in gate. I am willing to wait awhile to take free transportation.mindflipper wrote:Free compared to $55-ish one way - I think I could be patient enough to wait in line! Money saved could be better spent at the parks...![]()

Re: Question about Disney's Magical Express
Here are some tips that I learned.
- keep the voucher booklet with you until the very end of your stay (just in case)
- those yellow tags are only good if you put them on beforehand
- if your flight lands in the late evening, or you have a dining reservation, or you think you may need your luggage, I suggest taking your luggage with you onto the bus
- your bags, depending on how busy it is, usually get in your room 3-4 hours after your flight lands and only WHEN your room is ready
- if you came in on the Magical Express, then you should receive a letter on your door with a pick up time the day before you depart
-if you didn't get a letter and/or a pick-up time, call Disney Magical Express to reserve a bus pick-up time
- keep that letter, it's your ticket onto the bus (if you don't have it, the vouchers will also work)
- arrive for your bus at least 10-15 minutes beforehand (If I was at a park, I would hop on a Disney bus no later than an hour before my bus leaves)
- Resort Airline Check-in is not connected to Disney's Magical Express, meaning you can use one, both or neither
Hope these help!!

I have only used this once and it has been a several years ago. I don't remember having any problems or long lines. Thought it was a smooth process, Once I am on the property I don't leave anyway.

Re: Question about Disney's Magical Express
That's what we have found when we have rented a car in the past. Unless we are going to see F1gment's friends (she grew up in Florida), we don't need a car while we are there. Disney does transportation well!jacobcary1 wrote:I have only used this once and it has been a several years ago. I don't remember having any problems or long lines.
